Season 2 Session 3: Quests Abound Cont. Report
General Summary
Date: 16th Day of the Month of Ahovz, 997 A.C. (Monday) Teth spent the week studying medicine. Pip spent the week studying. Arizona spent the week sleuthing. Sunday was Annie Willow's 79th birthday. A luncheon was held; Brian brought out wine, and Ben make cupcakes that resembled Shibi. David has gifted each party member a potion of healing for their hard work, and he still offers an additional gold for each mission finished. It is early morning and Sheriff Marcus has asked the party to come by his office at noon. Pip spends his morning at school playing the lute. Mary allows him to take it, but requests it be brought back on Thursday. Arizona drinks his opaque pink potion and believes that everyone is wildly attracted to him. he goes to Ellion (who definitely winked at him) and buys more of the same potion and a ROCK OF HEALING. Teth spends the morning experimenting with her powers and works on a ritual. (75) A male orc adventurer approaches Teth and asks if Poppy is single. Teth says no, and the adventurer asks her if she is single - again no. His type is 'tall'. Teth then lists some eligible bachelorettes: Missy, Mary, and some female adventurers. Teth goes to Poppy and gossips about the man. Then Poppy tells her that Mary got Missy in trouble for her adventuring. The party gathers in the sheriff's office. Marcus and Don are looking over a map of town with some 3D table and booths on top. Pip pulls Marcus to the side and informs him that Missy killed someone in the forest. Marcus quickly leaves. Don asks the party to assist in patrolling the festival in 2 weeks. He offers 10 gold a piece. The party agrees. Pip and Arizona make plans to go camping together. Pip gets Don to bend over and plucks a hair off his head. Pip then goes to Ellion's tent - which has a significant amount of smoke coming out of it. Ellion stops Pip from entering and takes the hair from Pip. They then give Pip a gold coin for his troubles. (29) Pip turns back and sees Isaac beating up an adventurer in an alleyway. The adventurer calls out for Pip to help. Pip conjures a giant scorpion and scares off Isaac. The party reunites in front of the Sheriff's office where Arizona gives Pip the rock of healing. Marcus comes out of the carpentry and tells Pip that hunting is not a crime. The conversation turns to deities when Marcus says he follows Earth. Pip lists some of the deities he is aware of: Asharot, Fafnir, Yongrav, Katla, Askunought, Longwei, Orochi, Shenron, Pythagoras, and Kai. The party agrees to take the DEFEND CONSTRUCTION SITE quest. (88) Darcy comes up to Arizona and asks if he regrets anything he's done recently. After annoying Arizona with 'why' questions, she also asks Teth and Pip. Pip thinks they need meat to bring to the mountain lions. The Butcher is closed at this time, but sees Steven and Ben in the bakery. Steven gets him 5 lbs of deer meet. Teth gets some cookies and orders a cake to be delivered to her family on the day of the festival. The party travels into the mountain range. They turn to the north and come across an Earth shrine. Pip touches the stones and taps on it. Teth tries to tell him about Earth and the ground vibrates. A diamond pops out of the ground and Pip takes it and a wild snap blooms underneath it. Up the trail they find a tabaxi woman name Rushworth who placed the request. Pip locates the mountain lions about 2.5 miles to the East. Syrax locates 3 mountain lions at a cave entrance. Up the path the group stops behind some shrubs. Pip turns into a mountain lion and drags some deer meat into the clearing where the other mountain lions are. Pip convinces them to leave the area. The party receives their payment in a few days after to ensure the animals did not come back. The party returns to town and takes up the WELL CONSTRUCTION quest. The party finds Kane in the inn and gets set up to work at well site 3. On Tuesday the party heads out to the site. Pip sees Anthony Jones is present; Isaac is also present, handing out snacks at the food table. Pip asks Isaac about the fight. Isaac denies anything until Pip conjures the giant scorpion again, and Isaac admits it. He says that he has a secret and he can't talk about it here. He tells Pip to ask literally any town member about it. Teth and Anthony are working down in the well and Pip joins them...by falling 30 feet into the mud. Teth uses her magic to move the mud and water. Arizona takes a nap nearby. Teth, Pip, and Anthony talk in the well. Anthony says he is from the capitol and he send money back home to his parents. Pip tells them that he is from Gurrian and a druid. He says that while he misses home he has important things to do here. Syrax starts to turn blue and Pip then says he is from Islumdraco which is in the SW. Syrax then turns silver. The party finishes their work, gets paid, and returns home. To be continued...
