Session 19: Delegation Organization Report

General Summary

Date: The Month of Starz 30th, 997 (Friday).   Perrin gathered some members of the town to have a meeting about Isaac. Annie, Vern, Don, Marcus, Marin, and Perrin were all present in the Mayor's house.   Poppy came and dropped off a drunk Beth and Tof. Perrin cured both of them of their drunkenness.   After they are levelheaded again, Tof asks Beth to keep what happened during their drinking competition quiet.   Perrin started the meeting saying it was a quick brainstorming session, to think about Isaac and prep something if he needed to be taken out of town.   He offered a situation where someone could pretend to be Isaac and people could see him leave town.   Perrin then brought up the topic of Isaac murdering someone. He noted that there did not seem to be any repercussions for his action, and he understood why Ahovz followers would want to take him to justice since he killed a fellow follower. He's not an innocent.   Annie speaks up, saying if he was angry to be angry at her, as it was her fault that he avoided any legal repercussions. But also pointed out that no one knew a sorcerer killed one of the brothers, only that a boy did it. She thought the issue of the murder and the current events were not connected.   Beth brought up Water's study, noting that the deities did not know how the brothers died besides Water and Earth. She also brings up how Ahovz knows the contract was broken by Water for being in contact with a sorcerer, so that was the issue, not the murder. Beth suggests that Isaac is fine where he is.   Marin thinks making a plan, and maybe a backup plan is good, but too much talk may cause more issues than good. She thinks moving Isaa now may bring more attention, rather than protect him.   Marin mentioned speaking with Divine and Mattias and how they did not know the brothers, or that they were in town when they died. However, she also mentioned Mattias's good poker face.   Perrin asks if as a town they are going to let Isaac get away with everything, if they should just move on. Perrin does not agree with this though, saying it should be ignored.   Marin notes that Isaac was manipulated, and he was naive enough to make a deal with Erif because he was desperate. And that kill will not leave him easily.   Beth thinks Isaac went though enough.   Vern gets up and leaves the conversation at this point.     Marcus says that the murder should be on the backburner, purely because there are bigger things to worry about. But also mentions that the issue is not being ignored. He says he has spoken to Isaac multiple times about the issue, and is working with his father to figure something else.   Marin says Isaac needs support from the group.   The conversation moves back to the topic of getting Isaac out of town. Marcus notes the issue of sorcerer energy, and that if Isaac were in an open space it would be easy for others to find him as a sorcerer, but in a town, the source is obscured.   Perrin then speaks about the quest to go find the Air Immortal and how they may be out of town for some time later.   The group then disperses to go about their own business.   Perrin stops by the inn and gives the pendant he received from Lun to Poppy. He even prestidigitates some moons around her head to give the illusion that the magic is working.     _______       Time Skip. Perrin went around town trying to locate the sun pendant, finding that his spell led him towards Liam Jenkins' house.   The copperpots left town, leaving 50 gold on each doorstep of the players.   The necromancer, Rowen, was captured by Marcus and the Bounty Hunger Onyx.   _______     Date: The Month of Stability 3rd, 997 (Tuesday).   The town in the unrest is growing with the heat. Marcus has been able to stop fights before they get too bad, but the divide between faiths is growing stronger. The water continues to recede, the lake only filled half as much as it usually is.   Marin received a note from Earth in the morning.   The group meet up in town square after school let out for the day.   Perrin asks what Earth's timeline is for them to go to the Air Immortal. Marin stating she got a note that says Earth would prefer it to be sooner rather than later. Perrin wants to wait a few days as David asked him to wait till he got back to town.   Tof asks for more details on the situation. Marin says that Earth asked her to go to the Air Immortal as he thinks she is worthy enough to be let onto his land. She mentions she is acting as a delegate, but other deities are also sending delegates. Tof suggests Perrin pray to Lun to also be a delegate.   They consider talking to Flynn to see if he can fly them to their destination.       Random Encounters:      

Marin - Sam, being day drunk, comes to Marin asking for her help to get a boyfriend. He wants someone tall, dark, and handsome. Marins says she'll see what she can do, and walks Sam home. Perrin first giving Sam a waterskin that has the taste of wine, so he stops drinking alcohol.

     

Perrin - Doctor Tom asked Perrin to get an order of bandages from the general store for him. He said he offended Opal by talking about how to keep her kids safe after Caleb came in with a bruised knee. Perrin retrieved the box. Talking with Opal about Molly in the process.

     

Tof - Ben waved at Tof, he waved back. Ben then retreated back into the bakery.

     

Beth - Liam came running into town shirtless screaming about demons. He was splashing holy water and many people, doing it also to Tof and Beth. Beth prestidigitated some smoke on herself after it happened, causing Liam to toss the rest of the liquid on her and run away saying she was a demon. Only Tof was witness to this display.

      Beth, Tof, and mastiff Marin go to speak with Liam. They approach the house and Beth is shot in her right shoulder. Liam had shot through the window, breaking glass in the process.   The echo of the gunshot rings through town. Perrin rushes out of the carpenters, Don, Marcus, Divine, and Mattias also come out. Marcus distracts Mattias to the graveyard away from the shots. Divine stands outside of her tent.     Liam shoots again when Beth tries to speak, missing his shot.   Beth gets shot in the left shoulder when she approaches the house. Shot for a third time in the right shoulder again.   Tof jumped through the window, but was unable to knock Liam over.   Isaac tried to knock him out, but also failed.   Marin turns into a Boa Constrictor and blocks Beth.   Beth calms emotions, and Liam stops firing. Beth then misty steps into the house.   Tof tries to prove Beth is not a demon by pouring some of his water on her, claiming it was holy water.   Liam takes the water and says there is no divinity in it, but Beth causes his finger to start smoking when he touches the water. He then starts screaming about how he was possessed by the demon in Beth, and he runs out yelling for Perrin.   Liam meets Perrin saying he needs more holy water because he was possessed. Perrin says he has a ceremony that can purifty him, and leads him to the mansion.   Tof follows and hides in the mansion.       _       Back at Liam's house, Marin returns to her true form and gives Beth shit for the scene she caused with her magic.   Marin then talks to Isaac about Dominic. Saying that he has returned in a human body because of Earth and her intervention. He seems to have changed, and is getting a second chance.   She also asks Isaac about his deal with Erif and his magic. Isaac said the deal was complete, and Erif kept his side of the bargain. He says his magic is like a box inside him, and Erif put a lock on it. However the energy was too strong and it burst out. His box is not meant to be closed.   Isaac also tells Marin that Flynn went to his plane by the graveyard earlier in the day.   Only Beth is witness to this conversation.     _   Beth takes an invisible Isaac to Ellion, Tof meeting with them on the way. Inside the magic shop Ellion takes Beth and Isaac behind the curtain, and only Beth returns out. Tof is still confused about what is going on with Beth and Ellion.     Back at the mansion, Perrin sets up Liam in a room. He rushes out to get his silver and returns to create a ceremony that will 'purify' him.   Marin finds Flynn at his plane along with Marcus, Mattias, and Don - he leaves shortly after she arrives. Marcus, Mattias, and Marin have some small talk before Marcus pulls Mattias away to talk at the office. Mattias shaking Flynn's hand before leaving.   Marin asks Flynn if he could fly the group for their quest. Flynn says that the heat makes it so that he can't get enough lift to reach a safe flying altitude and he also can't use his teleport spell without his plane, but he'd like to get out of town if they need him.   Marin then goes to the Sheriff's office. Mattias, Marcus, and Johnny are present. Marcus and Johnny are both smoking, while the three of them talk.   Marin gives Johnny a 'cube of confusion' and says if he solves it she'll bring him a new puzzle, and if he solves it in 2 days she'll give him a gold. But he has to leave Marcus alone, to which he agrees.   Mattias then excuses himself, saying he should check on Divine.   Marin then asks Johnny about his barge. He says while he is not a captain anymore, he still has connections to get a ship. Marin mentions that if Johnny agrees to help them get a ship and sail it that they could reconsider his jailtime.   Marin invites Marcus to come to watch over Johnny. Marcus says he would like that.   Back at the mansion, Perrin 'cleanses Lian's soul. But Liam says his house is still not pure, and thinks that it should be cleansed with fire.   Perrin leaves and bumps into Don, filling him in on the situation.   Don says they should burn it down. Perrin asks if they should tell the mayor or Marcus. Don says no. He thinks that for the mayor, it's about time she's not in the loop.   Perrin also brings up Ahovz, and his faith. Don mentions he follows Ahovz and Lun, and it was a long time ago when he bonded with Ahovz. He doesn't think she would be too angry with him for leaving.   They keep a cover story that the house is diseased and they are doing a controlled burn.   Perrin casts a few bone fires in the house, and they watch as the house goes up in flames.   Perrin looks over at Don. He is standing tall watching the fire. And Perrin notices as Don's hair starts turning brown.         To be continued.
