Sessions 4-8 Report
General Summary
Once those Kwazy Kobolds were freed from Uthooplig and V'peef's spells, lies, and machinations, they began acting quite un-kobold like indeed, perhaps it was the influence of the glowing blue bauble in the basement? Whatever it was, the party was suddenly in possession of a walled keep out on the western frontier, complete with a garrison of kobold soldiers and a full complement of kobold staff. Settling in quickly, they proceeded cautiously to the evil temple of the Red Dragon Goddess, Vekheteshaynaralax-Shayna. Discovering a shrine built specifically to amplify the power of prayer and sacrifice to the tyrant goddess, our heroes (sans Pandora, see below) battled the twin demon anti-paladins, along with their powerful Derro servants. In what was very nearly a complete wipe out of the intrepid adventuring party, an all out brawl ensued that was so fierce, the gods themselves began taking bets. Loki, of course, is also a bookie. How they did it is beyond the ken of a mere scribe such as myself, but our heroes did vanquish their foes! Returning to their new keep, they found Stevie Vekhet and Pandora Skydale, both looking quite disheveled, standing in front of the remains and ruins of what appeared to have been a royal and epic party of immense scope and proportion, the better to greet them upon their return...or so they said. Cryptic , of course, was a little bit skeptical, but amicably went along with it just to see how everything would pan out. Spending some of their hard earned gold on clothing and supplies, the band enjoyed a well-earned rest but got bored very quickly (as per normal) and wouldn't you know it, Stevie Vekhet had a job for all of them! A heist, of course (this is Stevie we're talking about), of Eastman's Vault in Hammingburg. Supplying the par-tay with schematics, guard and security rotations, and seed money, Stevie Vekhet set The God Punchers loose upon the poor, unsuspecting casino. And so, wearing costumes, our heroes infiltrated the casino. Plume In the Wind broke the house with a whirl on the roulette table, and then all hell broke loose. In the end, the God Punchers pulled off the biggest heist in the history of the kingdom, and discovered another of those strange, colored baubles seems to have claimed Plume, a yellow one, making it Cryptic with the blue, Pandora Skydale with the red, and Plume In the Wind with the yellow. Spending quite nearly too much time in the vault, they escaped by the skin of their teeth with their new friend Dorath, and separately made their way back to Murray's Hostel, where they decided to base themselves for now, despite the fact that they own the deed to a keep not far to the north...
