Esterson Session 1
General Summary
Lady Farlon, art collector, has taken an interest in what potential our newly established guild has to offer. She wants you to track down a bunch of lowlifes in their hideout and retrieve some sort of Reverie idol. We have found their putrid dwelling along the Glimmer Coast in Dulnmoor. After a quick visit and all has been resolved, come back home and we can send it off to the courier.
I should also mention that this courier was insistent we get this job done as soon as possible. Supposedly others are looking to claim this artifact as well. I personally don't care about the ethics of where this idol belongs. This art collector should know by now that it belongs to the highest bidder.
The party heads to the Province of Dulnmor to follow the trail of the lowlifes, taking them to the coastal City of Ridgewater. There, as night fell, they setup in the Floating Gull Tavern. While getting cozy, they came across monks from the Order of Candescence. Turns out they too were looking for the relic.
The party decided it best to cooperate with the monks and they agreed. As part of the compromise that they would assist the party and take the relic peacefully, they would provide one of their students as a member for their hall, thus putting them on their Trial of Praxis to become a disciple.
While also waiting, Altor sniffed out a vician quasit that was invisible. Instead of destroying the creature, he instead befriended it, getting intel on the ways of Maledict.
Once the time came to head for the Glimmer Coast, a popular smuggling site, the party didn’t attack the lowlifes at the cabin. Instead, they convinced the brutes to not only hand over the relic but to also join their guildhall in Hearth for an actual livelihood.
By the end, the relic was returned to the Candescent and the party with new members for their hall.
