hot on the trail {session 7 princes of the apocolypse}

General Summary

The party returns to town after being ambushed on the river bank by several pirates and a lizard folk. once back in town they were payed by the burgomaster and informed of a party getting together to go assist a group of ranchers who had been having trouble with orcs.  the party set out to the ranch and after a week of travel they had arrived. they came up behind the raiders who were camped behind a low hill. the party bard Tom crept close and using the messagee spell attempted to convince the Orog to attackt he Shaman. this did not go acording to plan and what he eventually managaed to do was get the raiders to attack early and the shaman and one eye were left behind for the party to attack alone. the two orcs were quickly slaughtered and then the party went over the hill to asssit the defenders in the defence and thus the real battle began. the party quickly fell on the orc rear guard. the ranchers were fareing badly and by the time Brutus the fighter had reached the house the orcs were hacking int he door to get at the non combatants. Brutus charged past several combatants and killed the orc that had kicked in the door. he then whirled about and stood as a bastion helping to keep the people safe. not long after he was taken down by a critical strike from a great axe. as he fell a company of elven soldiers arrived and began to slay the orc. Tom fought like a man posessed and was able to slay the orc above his brother and fend off the rest until the elves had arrived and they began healing the injured even bringing many back from the brink of death. after this the party stayed to help get the ranch cleaned up. as the elven company was about to leave Tom saw his chance and began talking up an elf not long after they were behing the barn and about to copulate when Tom made an unfortunate discovery that his soon to be fuck buddy was in fact male.
