the Delve (session 9) Report

General Summary

the session began with the party in the courtyard of riverguard keep. from there they pushed inside and entered the barracks whereupon Tom Jerry cast shatter and killed most of the bandits and on of the four reavers. the eight bandits reduced from eight to four wavered but held with the reavers still standing. the revers charged and brutus began laying abhout him quickly slaying the three. the bandits ran after two reavers went down leaving the last one to die. they went to Jolliver and while the party barricaded the barracks in hops of getting a rest in Jolliver gathered everyone together and went to slay them. there was a monemt of confusion when tom was impersonating the dead guards but Jolliver was undettered and when the party went to open the far door Schoaler hit the door with a tidal wave and the party was attacked by 4 reavers,3 bugbears, two bandits, a wave priest. a fathomer, Pike the halfling thug, Schoaler the sorcerer, and of course Jolliver himself. the party cut and Run with Brutus slaying several on the retreat. the party ran and leaped from the palisade Tom going unconsious from the fall. Brutus administered a healing potion and carried Tom for a time. they returned to redlarch remaining paranoid and that night beseeched Ghalliver for some of his healing potions. they purchased to of them at a premium and that from there they were approached by a dwarf who offered them a Job to help him retrieve the long lost artifactss of the dwarven king. that night as brutus went to bed he was assulted by a Sahuagin assassin. the beast inflicted severe wounds on Brutus and only by the grace of Tom casting a well timed hideous laughter and Brutus critting an inordinate amount of times were they able to escape with thier lives. the session ended there with plans to reassult the keep with reinforcments the next day.
