Session 9: Back to the surface Report

General Summary

The group decided to head to Detritus, where Joette planned to claim her rewards for clearing out the nest of Ankhegs and Hallie could pass the information she gathered onto Barry's builders. On arrival, the group were met by the lift being emptied of around 200 soldiers, who proceeded to begin a walk north after ignoring Joettes questions. Within the cavern of Detritus, the group claimed their quests' various rewards from a rather overworked Madradim.   Afterwards, they found that the Scavengers had two quests for adventurers of their caliber: Clear out Ankhegs between Vandderscort and Detritus or locate and deal with the river blockage. The group unsurprisingly chose the latter and headed upstream, finding two ogres standing around a dead ogre blocking the river. After some successful negotiation, Garm convinced them to pull the body of their friend out of the river, which they were successful in doing. Feeling good about life, the group began to head back towards Detritus. Then the ogres threw rocks at them :(   Max returned to Blackfire Keep after the ogres were dealt with and heard from his superiors that the warforged with the stolen artifact had retreated to the forest, so he told the group the details and off they headed.
