Session 1: Simple beginnings Report

General Summary

Zumwarin, Joette and Maximilian awoke to the sounds of yelling from outside Riverway Tavern at 11 pm and immediately dashed downstairs, where they encountered Hallie and Drasimir. Zumwarin, ahead of the rest of the group due to his inherently high speed, attempted to hurry over to them but unfortunately, that didn't quite work out as planned. As he passed over the middle of the room, an Ankheg burst out, sending planks of wood flying across the tavern and knocking Zumwarin away with considerable force. Two additional junior Ankhegs also crawled out of the same hole before Joette and Maximilian started to tear into them. Drasimir, who had previously run out of the tavern after hearing the yells from outside, realised what was going on inside the tavern and attempted to vault through the window. In an impressive showing of clumsiness, he tripped just before his attempted launch, causing him to fold over the window-frame and topple into the tavern, at which point he slowly got to his feet and began to join in with the removal of the Ankheg, slightly winded.   After the party managed to dispatch of the Ankheg along with its two accomplices, they headed outside, where they were graced with yet another two Ankhegs, one holding a female Aasimar in its jaws. After a close and frantic fight, the party emerged victorious and Hallie healed the bloody and heavily bruised Aasimar to her previous conscious state.
