Session XVIII: The Road Ahead Report

General Summary

The Party return to Lyspont with Chareth Cutestory, soon to be king. They return to the palace, where they learn from Duke Vincent Kypwe and the other nobles of Novarra that it was likely Matthias, envoy from Andalere, who had conspired with the Immortals to attack the throne room during the royal council two nights ago. They conduct an interrogation and investigation to confirm these suspicions, getting clues from the docks and eventually breaking through Matthias's defenses to learn that he had been in contact with agents of the Emperor. This impresses Lord Vincent and Lady Amra, who had pushed for a firmer hand with the subject.   Going to King Chareth, the Party devise a plan to deal with the rest of the Emperor's servants in the city, who came by harbor on a ship called the Indomito. Though locked down after the attack that killed King Rufus, some of the ship's crew have already gone out into the city, and guards and dock workers have witnessed activity on board.
