Session XIII: The Missing Child, part 2 Report

General Summary

The Party return to Redfell after their fight with Sinnig , Feryl Abair, and Ekemon Tlemakos, looking for some lead or resource in their search for Lucian. With the help of Orren the Taupe, Lykee's master, they scrye a vision of the child captive, though they are unsure of the child's location.   The Party decide to leave Redfell, trying their luck south. They make for the Albionese border town of Anvil Ford, meeting a stranded carter named Hamond on the road. Hamond tells them of a group of robed strangers who waylaid him on his way home. They seized his wagon as theirs, which they had left with him, had been strangely burned. The Party proceed into town after telling Hamond that they would send help.   In Anvil Ford, the Party pursue the robed strangers they believe to be hiding somewhere in town. At the Five Rings Inn, the Party close in on what they believe to be their quarry, only to find that they have been deceived by a ruse: a kidnapped lookalike, brought to Anvil Ford, while other parties spirited Lucien away to places unknown.   Their aims frustrated, and with no clear leads, the Party accept Sir Chareth's invitation to travel with him to Lyspont, a city near his home, to which he is eager to return. The Party set out again, heading southwest.   On the road, near the Onyx Tower, the Party encounter an accidental portal spill, complicating and misdirecting their travels for several days, and leaving them with a new speckled hen from somewhere. They name the hen Pepper.   In the hills west of Gullam, the Party come across a gaggle of strange, toad-like wolf creatures conducting an eerie ritual. Chanting, moaning, and rocking in unison, they call up glowing worms from the earth and bottle them for unknown purposes.   The Party reach Lyspont at last, but upon their entry, a commoner accosts Sir Chareth, cursing him for his family's cruelty.
