Adventure 1, Session 2 Aboard the Blind Seagull Report

General Summary

Events

  Mac harvested octopus-adjacent meat from the deceased Grindylows. Gobbert praised his resourcefulness and added the meat to the ships supplies for the voyage. Captain Digsby ordered Fiddle to take care of the corpses, but the party thought to instead preserve the bodies in salt to keep from dumping them overboard for fear of baiting something else to attack the ship. Din ordered Fiddle to pack the bodies in barrels instead.   Mac spent the afternoon fishing, but to no avail. Din performed her duties on board the ship, and Amelia organized her herbs and healing supplies. Mac prefered to spend the night on the deck under the stars, and got approval from Cpt. Digsyby to sleep on the Mid deck.   That night, Mac awoke to see a Haniver squeezing below decks, and commanded Axe to sound the alarm. The party and several crew members fought off the group of Gremlins (several Hanivers and a Fauth) sustaining only minimal injuries.   After the gremlins have been dealt with, the party meets with Captain Digsby. While he insists that these re normal danger for the voyage, Din does notice that he seems concerned. When pressed, he explains that this is an unusual frequency of attacks.   While settling in for the night, Mac overhears bits of a conversation from below decks. "Not going as planned," "Weren't expecting this much," "Have to keep going." He can only tell that at least one of the voices in male.   The ship is scheduled to dock at Port Cinder in just 36 hours. The party plans to inspect the ship and investigate the crew and passengers.
