Session 3: On our way once more

General Summary

As the ship gets underway once more, the party gather on deck to discuss their destination and their journey so far. Amethyst tells them the place they are heading used to be a dwarven trading town of sorts, one of their furthest outposts. Many people and items came through this place in its heyday.   Using Pipers navigation skills the party are able to track their journey so far on the old map, pippin expreses concern over any old settlements under the water which may have more of the creatures that attacked them. Tracking back to where they were attacked, the party notice that there was a huge crevasse scaring the landscape at that point. Who knows how deep the bottom of that crevasse will be now after three risings.   The ship arrives at its destination. The party find out that they will be exploring underwater in small three seater submersibles. It is getting towards evening so the group decide to get in some practice in their new transport. Everyone picks up the basics reasonably well. Tiara shows particular proficiency, but Piper struggles as the sensation of being underwater in an object is distracting for him.   That night as the party sleep, Pippin is awoken by a voice calling to him. A ghostly figure lures him up onto deck, Pippin suddenly recalls the voice from his dream, all those years ago when he left his temple. The figure asks him to trust her and Pippin reaches his hand out and takes hers. He feels a warm, almost motherly, sensation wash over him. The figure pulls Pippin over board, but only his spirit, as his physical self is left on board. They dive under the water and speed forwards, soon the shape of a tall broken tower appears in the gloom ahead. The figure indicates that Pippin should go there. Suddenly black tendrils ooze from the tower towards them. The figure boops Pippin on the forehead, and he is sent flying back to his body. Upon waking he tells the rest of the party about his nighttime adventure.
