Session 23: A New Distraction

General Summary

Finding themselves traveled back down to the town of Elderbridge, the party arrived in the pitch darkness of the night. They made their way to the Gentle Troll Tavern, to find a place to stay the night. Except for Trinky, who wished to celebrate Apieros' return and began to pester two dwarfs who were in the end-game of a drinking contest, as well as an elf whom she awoke, resulting in him going to bed properly instead. Upon realizing what time it was, the goblin then followed her party to bed.   The next day, the party discussed what they should do. Apieros brought up the fact that the Silvestra Numina would now be hunting them, so he suggested that he could leave them and travel to Zarastil. The party refused to part and inquired what he would do in Zarastil. He explained that he knew some people there who could aid in their search for the last shard. The party agreed that this could be a good idea, but wished to come with and do their own research. Thus they left that very morning to try and make it to Zarastil as fast as they could.   That evening they made it to Caelfall. They decided to continue onward as far as they could, and made it halfway to Zarastil. They decided to rest at the inn along the road called the Lost Hills Hostel. The unbecoming house didn't seem like much, but when they entered they found a flamboyantly furnished tavern with a lot of purple and pink, and nude art covering the walls. There they finally celebrated Apieros' rescue properly. After a while, they began to look out towards the other guests and Quinumo and Ravojhan noticed that an old man was staring at them. After standing it for a while they engaged the man. It turned out that he was just a confused old man looking for some adventurers.   Upon further questioning it turned out that all this confused and forgetful man, called Bart, knew was that he needed adventurers to help him get a ring back which had been stolen by fiends. All he carried with him was a map of the region where he could point out the place of the dungeon, a map of the dungeon itself, and a sack with 3000 gold to whoever helped him. After a quick discussion, the group decided that Apieros could continue the last way to Zarastil to do his research, and they would help Bart the next morning.
