Session 3: Temple of Falandros

General Summary

Finding themselves in the ruins of an ancient temple, the party made their way down into what seemed to have been a treasury. There they found an amulet on a pedestal. The party, reluctant to approach the artifact, didn't wish to touch it. Kleech instead picked up a rock and threw it towards the pedestal with enough force to knock it over. As the amulet touched the ground, it emitted a bright green flash. When the blinded party came to, Ravojhan told them that they had been taken to the Feywild.   The ruin that they had found themselves in had now changed into a real treasury, filled with gold, gems, and magical items. Trinky began looting gold immediately, whilst the others took interest in the magical items. A flute, a cloak, a quiver, a sword, and a hat. Trinky took the hat, Aurora the quiver, Quinumo the sword, Ravojhan the flute, and the cloak was thrown on a reluctant Kleech.   After this, they began wondering how they were to get out. The entrance they had arrived through had now become a large door. After listening through the door, Ravojhan heard two guards discussing yesterday's antics. The party decided that they may have a chance to take them out. To lure them in Ravojhan played his new flute. Little did he know, the magic flute's music charmed the guards who instead of attacking or suspecting them brought them to the Autumn King as heroes planning to fulfill a prophecy.   Upon hearing the guards naming the amulet as The Broken Eye, Aurora and Kleech remembered a song passed down from the Feywild:

The Song of The Broken Eye
Its power runs deep
In the fabrics of all
With it the darkness
Can make nations fall
But do not despair
Ye of great might
For there is a way you
Against the evil can fight   Three shards to make it whole
Three shards to evil destroy
Three shards for which hope can grow   One resides in the woods of fairy flame
In a cavernous city of great fame
Guarded by craftsmen made of stone
Older than most, it is known   The second in a city can be found
Lulled to sleep by a waving sound
In the city where water meets land
The line therebetween may seem bland   Last of the shards and most mystic of all
In land of knights, valor and balls
In a castle long thought dead
Will you find the what all darkness dread   Should you succeed, legend you will become
All the seelie fey will too you come
A perfect wish if you do
A perfect wish for all companions too
After some consideration, the party decided to follow the guards and see what the Autumn King Falandros would have to say.   Upon hearing the King's proposal of accepting the quest described in the ancient song, and gather the three shards to make the Broken Eye whole again in exchange for a perfect wish, most were on board. Quinumo however, was a bit on edge and didn't want to believe it. But after some convincing from his mates, he too accepted. The king then used his powers to send them back home.   When they woke up in the ruin back on the material plane they immediately left for what they believed to be the first of these shards. When evening approached, they made camp and discussed the song and their quest. Upon reassessing the song, Trinky and Quinumo remembered the name of a forest in a kingdom to the southwest. They decided that this would be the first place they would look.   During the night Ravojhan performed a ritual to commune with his patron, the Archfey Satyr Hyrsam. After some scorning from his patron, he told him about their quest. The surprised Archfey allowed him a boon for his dedication. When the others woke up Ravojhan was accompanied by a black pseudodragon, who was now a member of the party.
