Session 14 Report

General Summary

Dates: 17/3 - 18/3   After watching Sephek condense into an Egg, Ahzek cast Identify and learned that the spirit which inhabited Sephek may be reborn via the egg. Ahzek decided it best to do away with the egg and he and Balthazaar destroyed it with magical fire.   The party then stopped in at the Veerbeeg Cave where they discovered the Caer-Dineval refugees, led by Hordal, had been training to help with the cause to take back Caer-Dineval. They dubbed it [The Last Rest] due to it being their final stop before either reclaiming their home or joining their ancestors.   The party then travelled to Bryn-Shander where they checked in with Duvessa Shane, discussing the political situation. She explained that the council would debate the evidence, ask for an action, and then vote on the action. The party also learned that while most of the speakers agreed to meet, not all of them are convinced of the party's claims. Shane did however send scouts and noticed that Caer-Dineval was being fortified. She also warned the party to watch their backs, the death of Sephek Kaltro has rocked his network of thieves and assassins.   The party ordered a shipment of 10 swords, shields, and spears, 20 bows, 300 arrows from Blackiron Blades.   At this point the party split, Shandar retrieved Hordal from the Last Rest while the rest of the party when to Targos and met Naerth, the speaker of Targos. An interesting and sinister character, they party learned that while Naerth claims his intentions are to keep Ten-Towns strong, Balthazaar inferred his motives must be selfish in nature. As a savvy political operator, he will attempt to maneuver an advantage out of the situation at Caer-Dineval.   The party learned of a white moose in Lonelywood.
