S01E08 - The Old Glade

General Summary

Our heroes planned during breakfast to look into local lore and legend to see if they could learn anything of places like the place where the fountain was that was corrupted by the miasma. But as they prepared to head toward the Old Glade, they were met by an upset Osric Vale, the estate's Gamekeeper. His mentor, came back from hunting near the Old Glade feverish, rambling, and near death.

The heroes decided to tend to him first, and then head off to start their research.

However, the old hunter led them to strange things that happened to him at the Old Glade. Also other villagers brought up how they have seen a rash of fearsome things happening in the last day or two. Doors left wide open in the night. Strange markings painted in blood on their buildings. And a mutilated cow.

The village on edge, the heroes chose to investigate by traveling to the Old Glade to see what they could learn.

En route, a messenger boy from the village brought a note from Osric. His mentor has succumbed to his strange wounds.

Then, the heroes reached the Old Glade and things got even more odd...
