Session XL: Secret of Xyndrakul

General Summary

After getting their courage together, they walked through the door and encountered Sylvara herself. In the room they also saw Borygen in Wall of Force as his teleport was redirected to the prison because of his race. They talked with Sylvara, who was someone completely different from what Dorn known. She was desparate, paranoid and scared to death. She claimed that she will die within 24 hours because of something that can not be stopped. She show them tapiseries of dead bodies in city street with marks on hand, missing eye and no more information. She told them she left Lolth because she offered no help whatsoever but the new entity, who remained nameless offered her shelter - which was mostly lie. Her priestess died and she was next. 
This entity gave her information and mirror that allowed her visit past cycles of this in Xyndra'kul. They travelled something about 20 years to past into Xyndra'kul where it happened last time. This was also the cycle when Dorn was forced to leave the city because of his murder of priestess which later he discovered was a priestess with the mark and thus was next in the line to slaughter. However, Sylvara was city leader at this time already and the cycle stopped or at least paused by death of the priestess, so he probably extended Sylvara's life by few years. 
Then they travelled to few hundred years back, where Sylvara was nothing but low acolyte in temple and they found another murder with the same parameters. But here, they found out more about the murders. One crazy half-duergar half-derro told them legends about Man in Yellow or Man from Below as he lived in the sewers under the city. He showed them dates when it should happen from his visions, but he was clearly crazy. This slave also told them about it being vengeance of his people for what Drow called upon his race. He kept repeating four colors and would rather die than going to sewers. He also claimed that "Below is Life".   

The Reckoning

They returned to current time, with newly gained information they travelled to sewers visit Man in Yellow. They met this entity, finding out its powerful nature, maybe demigod, powerful angel, racial curse or maybe something completely out of the equation. They faced it asking it for permission to leave as they are no meant to be here at all. This entity allowed them to leave, but warning them that the city will become empty and shadow of its past. They agreed, returned for Dorn's brother and left the city with this entity's help. Entity introduced as Secret of Xyndra'kul.   

Aftermath

They appeared right in front of Xyndra'kuls gate and everything seemed normal. They rested for a while and walked into the city, looking for something to take and check if Sylvara survived or not. They found out large purple void eye watching the city and the scenery, then it simple disapeared.
They found Sylvara's death body alongside with coin that represented leadership of Xyndra'kul. Borygen took it as a trophy to show to his people.
They started to loot the place for gold, valuable objects and mostly - magic items. They managed to steal a lot but then they saw large, fast void wave that reached the dead drow in front of the tower, starting to connect to them - bringing them back to life.
Borygen and Kai decided they have enough, but Darian and Dorn decided to loot a bit more. Then The Eye came back, watching through the tower, searching for anyone who might be still present - finding no one. Then Darian and Dorn teleported almost 3 miles straight to escape the city as soon as possible.
