Inside the Warehouse: Aberrant Observer

General Summary

The beholder approached the party, who in a panic tried to fight. The beholder's rays reversed gravity, created stone monsters, and had other unpredictable effects, until the party fell back and fled into the maze that lead into the Fire Wheel.   The maze itself was too small for the Beholder to follow into. The party slowed down half way through, trying to patch each other up as best as they could. The left the maze, checking but finding no sign of the Observer.   Unsure of where to go next, the party found one of the magic sigils and impulsively (Lyra) decided to step inside. The transportation sigil took them to a massive hall.

This throne room is massive- the ceilings vault into the heavens, and light filters in from all sides, even when you cannot see a source. Clusters of finely dressed elfs are scattered around, talking in hushed, conspiratorial whispers to each other. But there is something very wrong. The finery is meticulous, but has a weight of untold ages. The air is flat, and dead, stagnant around the statues and bodies. There seems to be a great deal more whispering than could be accounted for by the number of elfs you see.
Significantly weirded out, but with no immediate threats, the party cautiously tried to speak with the elfs. They were rude, not bothering to hide the disdain, and indicated that they thought the party was here to offer tribute to the King Undying.   The party pulled to an alcove and chose to take a long rest. The elfs gave them withering glances, but didn't stop them. Lyra tried to use sending to contact Atub, but the magic of the Anonymous Warehouse prevented the sending, casting back an effect onto both Lyra and Atub.

Character(s) interacted with

  • The Beholder - seems interested in studying subjects. Being a subject is probably a bad idea.
  • Atub of the Spite Vandals - Lyra attempted to magically send a message, but it failed

Notes

Lyra's Effects:

  • Lyra and Atub of the Spite Vandals cannot heal until they apologize to each other.
