Vinum 16 & 17, 3033: Year of Darkness
The Omens arrived at The Carthelian Estate to find that their freshly-renovated home was immersed in a fog that seemed to sap their strength from them. The builders, led by Burt the Builder, had noticed seven (7) construction workers go missing since the mist appeared, about a month, two months back. They aren't sure where it came from, but the nightmares it brought with it were terrible. But, with the amount they had been paid? Burt could overlook a couple runaways.
Inside, the Ericksons, a group of six pasty construction workers that don't quite fit into their clothes, worked on adding the finishing aesthetic touches to the house, including an unusual amount of tapestries and rugs emblazoned with the symbol of seven interlocking circles. They are "friends" of Papa's, who he sent to... assist in the renovations.
The Omens took the night to settle in to their home, but found that they themselves were not immune to the effects of the mists. Even those who do not sleep were plagued by visions of a cervine skull that burned with green flames where the eyes should be.
