Session 4: Trouble in Phandalin

General Summary

The party brought the Redcloaks to the Town Master's Hall and met Harbin Wester. They imprisoned the Redcloaks and then had Mardot and Rost interogate one of the ruffians. He told them so much shit and then he fucking cried. The big information was about the bugbears, 'eye monster,' and the Black Spider's agent. The party decided to take the four cloaks to sneak in, Icarus didn't wear a cloak. Wynlana paid the party the 10 GP each for bringing her to Phandalin and then joined the party in the raid on the Redcloak Hideout.   Mardot and Rost pretended to have capture Icarus and managed to trick the group in the barracks into exploring the ruins for other intruders. They also got the passcode to deactivate the skeletons. Mardot managed to avoid falling in the pit before the group moving on to the crypt where icarus almost set off the skeleton before using the codeword. They continued through the western door and found the Redcloak's armory.   Calix and Salt snuck in through the secret entrance that Carp had told them about. The nothic probed their minds leading them to sneak the western section to avoid the scary monster. They heard Mosk and the other bugbears torturing Drewp. They then went back to the crevasse room and tried to cross the southern bridge. Salt went first and fell in the crevasse, where he could see the nothic's hidden chest. This enraged the monster who was found by Calix as he tried to cross the northern bridge. Calix gave him the old one two, starting the combat.   The group of Rost, Mardot, and Icarus heard Calix's scream leading Rost to break down the secret door so the whole party could fight. The nothic hit Calix before taking hits from the entire party. Mardot then got a critical hit with sneak attack and killed the nothic with 30 something damage. Icarus gave Calix a health potion as Salt climbed down to get the chest. Mardot got Talon while the group distributed the health potions and coins. the group went back through the crypt where Calix felt his ring burn leading him to open a sarcophagus and found the 'C' and 'Z' Rings. Rost tricked the guards to look through the ruins. Where the group then freed the captive Dendrar Family. Mirna told the group of her amulet in Thundertree as thanks for saving them.   We ended the session as they prepared to attack the bugbears.
