Session 9: The Poet & the Dragon

General Summary

Combat begins, with the cultists being quickly taken out. Favric is quickly taken to low health by Rost before drinking a Potion of Gaseous Form and escaping. Mardot stabs the last cultist in the back as they flee, resulting in a change of alignment from good to neutral. Flux casts Fly on Rost, giving him fiery wings to fight the dragon. Venomfang quickly shows herself to be a threat dealing a great amount of damage. Calix quickly soothes Venomfang with a poem and an offering of all his coin. Venomfang accepts this offering and lets the party go.   The party, except for Rost, leaves the tower and goes into the nearest building encountering some ash mephits. The mephits are quickly dispatched and Mardot finds a small silver figurine of a raven. Rost instead used his wings to search for the amulet Mirna Dendrar told the party about. Rost flies into the western part of town, heavily overgrown with vines and roots. Vine and Twig Blights show themselves and chase after Rost flying over them. Rost reaches the most intact building in the area, finding an emerald amulet that small vines have left magical impressions on.   Rost flies back to the party as they hold up in the blacksmith's to rest.
