Session #15 "The mountain awaits" Report

General Summary

The adventurous Five continue the climb up the stairs inside the mountain.

The first landing contained a trap that had killed previous adventurers, but the trap seems to have seized due to old age. The corpses are from a bi gone era but well preserved due to the perma- frost that lingers in the tower.

The next landing contains a veritable feast, the table is laden with roasted meats, fresh bread, and golden goblets of wine.

Then a Valkyrie appears shrouded in golden light. She addresses the group
 

Ah, travelers! You have wandered far and faced many perils, I see. The weight of your journey is written on your faces and in the wear of your boots. Please, come closer! You’ve found a rare haven, and tonight, your burdens are mine to lighten.

Feast your eyes—and your stomachs—upon this bounty! I prepared it for weary souls such as yours, knowing that the road to glory is paved with sacrifice. This is the food of heroes, blessed by the gods themselves. Every bite will strengthen your spirit and heal your wounds.

This wine, drawn from the vineyards of Alfheim, is said to inspire visions of the divine. Many a warrior has found clarity in its depths. And these fruits? Plucked from the sacred gardens of Idunn—they say they add years to your life. Only the brave and the worthy deserve such gifts. Surely, that is you?
