Session #17 - "Journey's end"
General Summary
The group manages to get past more elaborate traps reaching what should be the close to their end goal.
But there is still some nagging questions yet to be answered, who built this, and why?
Was it the Hirazi as the traps could be easily thwarted by flight?
Was it the Dwarfs? But why would the Dwarves build something like this?
The last trap was using Runes to hint at the dangers that lie ahead, but why would whomever built it do such a thing?
The two runes that was in blue rather then the greenish yellow colors;
Raidho (ᚱ) and Sowilo (ᛋ)
But the Sowilo rune was elongated, longer almost like snake or river, and would potentially be the Leiptr (thors lightning and one of the rivers)
We end the session with a large natural cave filled with greenery, a stairway to continues upwards, along with two archways sunken into the walls. Above these archways are runes
ᚾᛁᚠᛚᚺᛖᛁᛗ (Niflheim – Ice and Death)
ᛗᚢᛋᛈᛖᛚᚺᛖᛁᛗ (Muspelheim – Fire and Wrath)
Other runes carved into the walls in the chamber are
ᛗᛟᚦᛖᚱᛋ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚨᛁᚾᛏ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚹᛟᛟᛞ (Mothers of paint and wood)
ᚨᛗᛁᛋᛏ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚨᛚᛏᛁᚲ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛗᛁᚾᛞ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚠᚨᛏᛖ (Amidst the altar and mind the fate.)
ᚷᛚᚨᚷ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛒᚨᚱᚲ (Black and Bark)
ᛗᚨᚷᛁ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚹᛁᚾᛏᛖᚱ (Red and Winter)
ᛋᛏᛟᚱᛗ ᛖᚨᚱᛏᚺ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚷᛖᛋᛏ (Storm, Earth, and Ghost)
ᚹᛟᚾᛞ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛒᛚᛟᛞ (Wind and Blood)
ᚺᛖᛚᛚᛟ ᚦᛖ ᚹᚨᚱᚱᛁᛟᚱᛋ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛚᛁᚠᛏ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚳᛁᚱᛖ!
(Hail the warriors and lift the fire!)
