Session 15- The Scouring of Lenara Report

General Summary

After days of Travel the group arrives in the dry town of Lenara, of the only villages out west that hasn't yet been attacked by whoever is razing the local area. Seeing Refugees along the road, but none from Lenara, and non have a straight story of what attacked them. A seemingly normal town, Thordun mentions that he has heard rumors about their apparant brutality and strength. When they arrive the town is mostly empty with people working on the fields and the Irrigation Ditches , so the kids bring them to old Man Olga, who says that they haven't had strangers there in a long while, and that he hasn't heard of the nearby towns being burned . He offers them housing in Barroduls house, a recently deceased man.    barroduls house is still furnished with red clay walls and they hold the night. On the next day they find someone actually in charge- Mantro a Human in his 40's meets them on the street, making it clear that he believes sorrounding villages to be lazy and deserving of what happens to them. He does mention that Bakkedal a town a litlle Sunward has been abandoned recently and that the refugees tried to come to Lenara- which they promptly denied and sent them on towards Nadigav.    The group decides to head out to bakkedal and leave uradil behind as a rear guard. when they arive in bakkedal they find only destruction, dead people pratially dessicated in the sun, the cistern smashed , the houses burned. Killian communes with one of the Dead and gets to know that some horrible lizardlike things attacked the village.    Activating their tracking mode, thordun and muk lead them after the likely way west and indeed  they stumble across an abandoned camp, with clavus marks, and other footprints and weirdly smooth earth . the ground around them is rust coloured and slaty sandstone walls reach out of the polished srroundings. Shortly after they while circling back to Lenara hear a horrible grinding sound described by the deadman. An sneaking up on it they find a group of weird creatures partially encased with crusted blood. The creatures seem as made from solid bone, pale yellow in appearance and amalgamated from this semiporous material. one seems like a hound, another like a drake while a third seems halfman half jackal. and one looks like a statuee of a person with for hands. While pondering the next move that party is discovered and they engage. A difficult fight ensues, and Soren summons great vines to ensare a winged snakelike structure, while the rest learn the hard way, that when taken enough damage these things explode in a hail of sharp splinters. Finally the party defeats these creatures and leave behind a battlefield covered in tiny ossified splinters.    Theese must be the creatures responsibe for the attacks- but what is the next step?
