Those who stayed behind Report

General Summary

Parting ways with the Heroes of the Host Tower, Osa and Eldred stay behind at Port Nyanzaru, each for their own personal reasons. Knowing that it will be an additional three weeks until the ship carrying their cargo will arrive, Osa and Eldred discuss their plans for after.   Eldred was contacted via magical spell "Sending" by Zartan of the Host Tower of the Arcane, and informed that he had urgent news to share about Eldred's hourglass. Eldred was given the option to teleport back to Luskan via a mage that owed Zartan a favor is he so chose. Eldred accepted the offer and informed Osa, who stated she wished to go with him. Zartan's contact turned out to be none other that the famous writer Volothamp Geddarm, the legendary traveler and storyteller. He informed Eldred and Osa that he would meet them at the teleport circle at the dock 1 hour before sunset to send them on their way. The two of them made arrangements with Jax's man Joo-Tee-Fan for their payment for the completion of their previous job to be sent to them in Luskan, and for the news of their departure to be shared with their previous traveling companions upon their safe return. As promised, Volo was waiting at the docks and used a scroll with the "Teleportation Circle" spell to allow Eldred and Osa to return to Luskan, right at the base of the Host Tower of the Arcane.   After a warm welcome from Zartan, Osa and Eldred were introduced to a wizard named Aronin Hazenscar, a member of the Order of the Blue Thunderbolts from the distant nation of Murghôm. While Aronin was not a member of the Host Tower, he was a trusted agent that worked with them for the last two years as a skilled linguist as part of a deal made between their two orders. Aronin had been in Neverwinter when he had learned of the explosion that had occurred in the Host Tower, and had returned to check on the well being of those he had come to consider friends and mentors. After some social niceties and shared drinks, Zartan informed everyone that his second in command, Bulgoloth, had divined these 3 "outsiders" as having a vital intertwined fate, and that their meeting was much more than just chance. They were all informed that Bulgoloth desperately wanted to perform a divination "reading" with the three of them, just prior to noon the next day.   The three all agreed to meet with Bulgoloth at the arranged time, and gathered around a table with a large translucent crystal placed in its center. Bulgoloth explained that his gift of divination was also a heavy burden for him to bear, but that these three gathered had been brought to him by fate. He told the group that they were all linked by their status of being "outsiders". Osa was an outsider because of her originally coming from the Feywild, Aronin was and outsider having come from the distant lands of Eastern Murghôm, and Eldred was the strangest of them all, coming from a place that seemed to defy any explanation at all. Bulgoloth commented on perhaps a fourth member should have been present, but went on with the reading. All of them placed their palms against the crystal, and as the ceiling magically disappeared, the direct overhead sun beamed down into the crystal and formed a mystic bond with all gathered touching its now warm surface. Bulgoloth spoke with a voice not his own and revealed that Osa would need to release Eldred from his promise never to reveal her abandonment of the Army of Leuthilspar, and in fact needed to escort her back there and turn her in within a fortnight.   Osa and Eldred discussed this with their new companion Aronin, and decided that the advice given by the reading should be followed. The informed the head of the Host Tower of their decision, and Zartan helpfully provided writs of passage to Eldred and Aronin for the Feywild, and sent them on their way. Zartan let the group know he would only be able to get the within a few days journey to the mighty city of Leuthilspar, but no closer due to the magics protecting it. Saying their farewells, the trio stepped through yet another magical portal into the Green Isle of the Feywild. The sights and sound of the magical lands around them all had different effects on the party. Osa was filled with nostalgia and a sense of fear of what lie ahead. Eldred seemed only slightly effected by the majesty of the lands before him, but was still moved by its beauty. Aronin was most strongly affected, having never seen lands as green or skies as blue. They headed north towards the city, and were soon intercepted by a returning patrol of elven guards. Eldred explain thier purpose, and after a cursory glance at the writs they carried, provided them armed escort to Leuthilspar.   Arriving at the city out group was quickly brought to the head of the watch currently guarding the city gates. Osa recognized him as Jarbin, a warrior she had served with in the past, and Eldred once again explained he reason for bringing Osa back to the city. Jarbin recognized Osa, and after breaking the seals on the writs of passage and verifying their authenticity, had Osa arrested and arranged for her two companions to have comfortable living arrangements while his superiors decided how this entire matter would be handled. They did not have long to wait. Before the evening had concluded they were informed that Osa was to be seen tomorrow late afternoon by the Lower Circuit Magistrate, and that her fate would be decided then.   Osa was detained in a comfortable cell after being relived of all of her possessions. As she nervously waited for the night to pass, she had an unexpected visitor very late in the night. The woman introduced herself as Bargala Olithir, and informed Osa that she was the Aunt of Cillio. She asked Osa a few questions about their engagement, and of Osa's actions and choices after being unable to determine Cillio's fate. After a brief interview, she left Osa alone in her cell to await her fate.   Late in the afternoon, all were gathered into the Magistrate's chambers. Osa's Judge was Zaor Nightstar, an Eladrian family line serving as judges for the military courts for centuries. He directing the proceeding to be held in the common tongue, due to the unusual presence of outsiders during the hearing. Osa's charges were read, and Aronin's request to speak on her behalf was honored prior to the magistrate's ruling. Aronin did his best, but his lack of knowledge of the Eladrian's due process made it a nerve racking experience for the well intentioned wizard. Zaor asked a few blunt questions to Osa prior to his ruling, and Osa openly admitted to abandoning her duties as a member of Leuthilspar's army due to her despair of being able to determine the fate of her beloved. The Magistrates ruling was harsh and swift, Osa was to be stripped of her family name as to prevent disgrace to Durothil family, and had all rank and privileges stripped as well. As she shock of Zaor's ruling was still rippling though the chambers, Bargala Olithir stepped forward claimed her right of "Blood Succession" as the last remaining member of the royal bloodline of the Olithir family. She presented the necklace heirloom that Osa had kept all of these years, and the fact of her faithful devotion to her deceased nephew to recognize Osa as Cillio's widow, and therefore a full member of House Olithir. As Eladrian law was clear in the matter, the Magistrate immediately affirmed Bargala's claim, and announced that Osa was officially a member of the Olithir bloodline, with all of the rights that conveyed. Chaos ensued in the chambers, until Zaor pounded has gavel while demanding silence, and the called the issue hearing concluding with his ruling to be recorded.   A tearful and emotionally wrecked Osa met with her new Aunt, who promptly informed Eldred's and Aronin's escorts from the city that they were dismissed. She escorted them all to a massive white alabaster tower floating 100 feet off the ground just outside one of the cities gates. Floating stones provided an stable but terrifying spiral stairway up to the solid mithril doorway at the base of the tower. Bargala informed everyone this was the Olithir family estate and that everyone was welcome. She hugged Osa and informed her that her love for her departed nephew had been truly moving for her, and that she was full of joy to have family again, the rest of the Olithir family had been killed during the great wars during the Time of Troubles with the Dark Fey. As the Towers floating stairway retracted into the bottom of the massive tower, the entire structure rose even further into the sky and proceeded North from the mighty city of Leuthilspar.
