Session 4 - The Boogeyman

General Summary

9th of Lenzin 200   The day after investigating the Cultist lair within the city the party regrouped after gathering some information about local jobs.   They decided to go check in on the prisoner cultist taken by the guards, Velvet learning that it was indeed the man of her nightmares, Kerrim Malum.   Convincing the Captain to allow her to help interrogate Kerrim, since she was familiar with him. She and Chael went witht he captain into the holding cells, where the shell of the blonde man who murdered her family sat, chained to a chair. Despite his eyes and tongue being missing, he acknowledged her pressence and spoke to her wth an otherworldly voice. Two guards flanked Velvet as she stood beofre the human shaped creature, one of his eye sockets burning with a golden glow. The chained man smiled and laughed in recognition of Velvet, seemingly happy to see her, they hada brief exchange before he lurched from his chair at her, causing Velvet to shrink back before striking out with her rapier. the two guards also moving to cut him down as his arms pulled away from the chains, leaving his hands behind in the cuffs. A shaken Velvet was helped back to the inn where the party regrouped and headed out to go investigate the jobs they had picked up.   Heading out at mid day they ran across the plant creatures of the first request. They managed to slay them without too much trouble and gather the requested parts as they could. With a little bit of daylight left, they decided to push on through the night towards a campfire that turned out to be the goblins they were looking to find. Deciding to use this moment as a chance to surprise the settled in goblinoids, they made a surpirse attack, clearing them out after a lengthy fight but finding that these are not the only goblins here, noting that there seem to be more camping out in the ruins they discovered below.
