Session 3: the bug infestation Report

General Summary

~ recounted from Gar's memories

The sun was hot. I was hot. The ground was hot. Everything was hot. Our mission was to hunt down some clickers. Others call them buggies. I call them clickers though. But both are okay. Our objective was simple, no survivors on either side. I wasn’t clear why these were our objectives. We marched towards a round enclave of the clickers. There we set up an ambush. Or prepared to set up an ambush. No actual ambushes were had.

In our company was the half-elf, the clicker, Zwork, Money man, and the prostitute. We left negotiations to the clicker. They clicked. We stared. They clicked again. We stared again. They clicked more. Then their leader was incapacitated. Then the combat began. Giant clickers appeared. They looked menacing. We looked back at them. We were not menacing. Then the boulders appeared. Mostly on Osiris’ body.

The sun was hot. I was hot. The dice of the universe were hot. And the battle was hotter. We engaged the enemy in fierce combat. Nuuta fell. Then I fixed her. We are even now. Zwork fell. Though his fall was literal. Osiris lifted him to the top. The fighting continued. Blood was spilt. Thri-keen death throes filled the air. Sadness was in my heart.

Throes of clickers appeared on the horizon. Organized clickers. They ate the clickers we were fighting. We then definitely agreed on a feast. We were not to the eaten. We were to be the eaters. We then met their leader. His name sounds like Dolahan. Yet he has his head. It is rude to ask why one has his head. Thus I did not ask why he had his head.

In his camp were large rocks. Rocks that looked like mushrooms. Under these mushrooms were eggs. Very large eggs. Eggs that could become an army. Dolahan claimed these eggs as his own. I inquired about harnessing this power for fruit production. I was declined. Negotiations are like a wall of rock. If you stare at it long enough, it will erode. Thus my negotiations began.

There was talking. And sophistry. And more talking. All the while, my negotiations continued.

Dolahan made his proposition. Dullahan was no friend of the inquisitors. I am no friend of the inquisitors. We agreed. We were tasked to find a fist-sized red rock in Raam. He was tasked to give us Breakshore. We were allowed any title we wished. He was also tasked to give us information. Osiris has a brother in Raam. Osiris is also rich. I have been negotiating with him for a while. Soon his wall will erode. Dullahan was also tasked to give us information about Hakka. This is an elf who knows the half elf’s elf.

Then we feasted. The feast that was originally agreed on was consumed. Osiris needs new armor. Our clicker needs a new weapon. These clickers may have spares. The negotiations shall continue tomorrow.
