Into the Lair Report

General Summary

• The party discovered the half-eaten bodies of the Pezzlian spies outside the yuanti caves
• While retreating to the crystal cave, the party encountered evidence that the dragon knew of their presence and movements as he manipulated nature
• The party had planned to lure the dragon away from his lair (possibly with the troll) but found the southern escape from the canyon now blocked.
• The dragon landed outside the canyon as the party hid and invited them north the large temple, ensuring their safety
• With lair options, the dragon helped their route north
• The dragon recognized Graham's armor and knew they came from Stagburn
• He gave them safety due to a dragon right of hospitality and claimed he was up north to spy on his half-sister.  He stole the water decanter because the Duke stole it from him.
• He offered to exchange the decanter if they bring Brom to speak with him.
• Mrs. P saw fog roll in behind the party as they crouched near the statue speaking with the dragon.
• Calling Casper, they asked him about Brom but he said he was bound not to say.
• On the trip back to Stagburn through the Astral Plane, the party ran into a future Casper who was searching for the party.  Mrs. P saw him look sadly at Graham before leaving to find the future version of the party.
• Arriving at Stagburn in the early morning hours, Valen asked the party to help him get the key from the mansion mausoleum.
• Mrs. P crawled through the hole in the tomb and retrieved the key from the child's sarcophagus.  She opened the wife sarcophagus and a banshee attacked with its wail.  Graham and Fidais immediately dropped unconscious and Mrs P is trapped in the mausoleum with the undead.
