Session 11: The Festival of Meeting Report

General Summary

BROAD STORY BEATS TO FILL OUT   Exploring Meru / Entering Heaven and reunion / Celestial Lions are racists / Lots of unusual beings as well as totally normal humans entering the festival   Kai'hua, Mishal and Thrudd continued to explore the Solar city atop the Imperial Mountain - finding that while some smaller artifice of that time had been left behind, it had by-and-large been plundered in time long gone. Mishal found that the interior wall of the central Solar Temple had been decorated with frescoes of Solars combating strange and unusual creatures and phenomena, all underwritten with Old Realm script. One panel had even been left blank, although it had an underwritten title.   The groups awaited the third day of Calibration, and made their way into the Celestial Gates, fully regrouping for the first time in months. There was a steady influx of humans, terrestrial gods, and elementals making their way into the Heavenly City - the Celestial Lions were on full watch, ensuring nobody was attempting to bring contraband to the Festival. One of them was reluctant to allow the Children to pass, but could not forbid them from entering.   Heaven is BIG / The Jade Pleasure Dome / A heavenly guard tells the Children the rules / Exploring the Festival   The Children passed into Yu-Shan properly, walking along a golden road to see their first view of Heaven - a verdant land dotted with large buildings, all centered around a colossal multicoloured jade dome. It was around the Jade Dome that the Festival was taking place, with hundreds of different beings enjoying the festivities.   As it was their first time in Heaven, and their first time to the Festival, the Children were instructed in the rules by a humanoid bearing a large golden glaive. He told them that by the Incarna's grace, no violence could occur, and that all were welcome to dance, carouse, and generally have a great time.   Mishal dances with Venus while Fengrao is briefly introduced to Mercury / Thrudd stuffs his face / Heavens goes looking for Storm and finds him among his peers / Kai'hua encounters The Spider, who stalks out of the festival grounds after pronouncing she will kill all the Children.   The group split up again to pursue their fun at the Festival. Mishal made straight for the dancing, throwing himself into the distraction of motion and sound, while Fengrao stood on the sidelines and watched. Galit took off for the more martial sections, finding himself amongst weapon hawkers, and heard of an area where one could show off their might.   Heavens utilised his unique abilities to help locate Calamitous Storm, who was talking amongst a circle of other humans - when pressed, Storm passed Heavens off as a mortal accomplice and ushered him away. Mishal found herself dancing with a tall woman who was revealed to be Venus, of the Five Maidens - on the sidelines, Fengrao was similarly introduced to the Maiden of Journeys, Mercury.   Kai'hua, on the other hand, found herself out looking for interesting trinkets, and instead found the ninja who had thrice attacked the Children. The ninja, seemingly willing to talk in this place, gave her name as the Spider. Spider claimed that she would slay all the Children personally before stalking out of the Festival grounds.       Thorn finds Galit, and they spar / Many gather to watch the titans spar / Venus questions Mishal / Storms refinds Heavens and gets caught up, then bugs the fuck out / Thrudd encounters Starfall   The Jade Pleasure Dome opens / The Incarna proceed / Chatting with your dead mum / UCS learns of the Solars & Lytek called out   Discussion with the Maidens aboard a dragon boat / The Maidens leave / Heavens summons the Rider / the Skyserpent gives a ticket / return to the Festival grounds   Critical Creation Failure
