Session 2: To the Blessed Isle, but actually this time Report

General Summary

The Children of Gaia return to Port Calin after 'resolving' the situation with Costora. Mae and Mishal have transport with a captain who is keeping as anonymous as possible. The Children are stuffed unceremoniously into a hidden compartment between the hull and cargo hold, lined with a steely metal.   On the third day of travelling, the ship was attacked by Peleps Kaizoku pirates - two Water Aspects (Kaizoku Hen and Kairyu), a mob of pirates, and an as yet unknown Air Aspect. While Hen and Kairyu were defeated by the Children, and their ship was disintegrated by Kai, the Air Aspect escaped by calling up fog and mist from the sea and flying away.   Because Mishal had shown off powers normally used by the Anathema, the Captain demanded more payment, or he would remove Mishal from the boat. Thanks to some quick thinking by Kai, the day was saved.   The Children reached the Blessed Isle, finally, and were rapidly escorted out of the docklands and up the hill to the Cathak Imperial Manse, marked with the mon of House Cathak, a three-petal lotus in red. The Children are escorted to a suite of rooms, each adjacent to another - Mishal, Thrudd, Fengrao, Kai, Galit, Heavens. After a communal bath, red silk robes are delivered - Mishal's is branded with the Cathak mon.   They meet with Cathak Cainan, the Cathak patriarch, in his war room - he was examining the military situation in the Eastern Threshold. The party discussed a number of things, like the benefits of House sponsorship and where they might find more information on Five Days Darkness. After a quick visit to the Cathak library, where they discovered that Five Days would undertake a gruesome ritual over Calibration.   Mishal had Mae brought to the suites, and after an awkward moment with his siblings, Mae was straight-forward: as she is currently betrothed to a legionnaire of House Tepet, she was unable to pick up a relationship with another Dragon-Blood.
