Session 1: A trashed club Report

General Summary

Starting off the adventure, Dumitru (an augmented human) and Ara (an Ow0 model Android), owner, and main hostess of The Afterlife nightclub in Dyskoi Beta, came to find their place trashed when they were going to open for the day. the dance pole bent out of shape (in a strange fashion looking bent from the inside, not by blunt force), bottles shattered and tables were thrown around.
Not wanting to get the law enforcement involved, Dumitru called up a known info broker of the city, explaining the situation, and asking for some hired help. the info broker said he knew some people who might be right “fairly new to the business, so not two expensive. but good.” taking him up on the offer, particularly as it was priced not above a drink next time the man came by, Dumitru took the deal.
The broker called up “his favorite new assassin” B-4 (an augmented human), a gun for hire, telling her he had a job she might be well suited for. telling her the situation, and where to go.
taking the job on, B called up Ryan (non-augmented human), another gun for hire, and her one way to get a ride.
when they arrived at the nightclub, Ara was outside the club, while Dumitru had gone through and taken inventory of the losses. his stash of Ketamine from behind the bar was missing, as well as some drinks, but the safe room downstairs had remained untouched.
outside, Ara had noticed cameras were down, though as the guns for hire approached, she instead found focus on both asking if Ryan would hire her this time, and soon enough, also found an interest in B, finding her cute and asking if she would be willing to rent her, causing much gay panic from the assassin with a android made for pleasure wrapped around her.
as the group began to do a more through investigation, they found traces of this being an attack done with help of tech, burned neon light bases, the pole, and the security cameras all deactivate, something which prompted Ara to seek out the security station downstairs, hidden within a wall, it had gone unscathed by the attack, letting her re-boot the cameras, and go through the footage up until they were deactivated.
what she found, was that the camera within the safe room had remained active the whole time, while other cameras had experienced distortion before going offline.
with some work, Ara was able to recover the footage, removing the distortion by a number of tricks, mostly other filters.
what was revealed, was that a figure clad in a segmented leather trenchcoat, each strip lined with neon green, with a single drone levitating along with them, had come to the outside, pointed at a camera, the drone had flown up to it, and then it had gotten disabled. one of the inside cameras also showed how two figures with baseball bats had shown up in the doorway while a camera was getting disabled.
Showing the footage to the rest of the group, they decided that this might be an anti-tech attack, and as such, they should seek out another club to check if they had experienced anything similar. settling for The Lotus, the group headed to Ryans's car, to head to the fancier parts of town, leaving the nightclub locked behind them.

Arriving at The Lotus, the group walked into a club with a eastern aesthetic, and an employee list made up near solely of android workers. while the rest of the party settled down at the bar to have a bite to eat, Ara went to talk to a worker, finding Pettle, a petite model, with sharp, heals, to ask if she knew about any suspicious activities. after describing the situation, Pettle said it was better to speak to “The Madame“ and asked who Ara was there with. when gestured towards, Pettle pointed out that B was cute, something Ara agreed with, before the androids split up.
after a meal displaying the ability of multiple party members to devour burgers whole or near whole, necessitated by the quick response from Pettle that the Madame was ready, the party went to a back room, where the lady who ran the club was sat, kneeling on a small mat, with four mats opposite to her.
Sitting down proved a challenge for Ara, who defaulted to making herself into a seat, giving a suggestion to B when she pointed out the position, herself sitting crosslegged.
In the discussion about the situation, Dumitru explained how his club had been trashed, the madame explaining that she did not know of any such attacks have happened, and being slightly surprised that it would be done to such a small club.
she did however appreciate the warning, and after being given a playback of the scene from Ara, she agreed to lend a hand in making sure the club got up and running soon. Dumitru would just have to store a crate of alcohol for her, and she would send some of her workers to help get everything in working condition in short order.
At a question of if they would be allowed to look inside the crate from B, the madame answered she would prefer they didn’t, as well as held her eye for a brief moment longer than expected on the assassin.
Dumitru accepted the deal, as well as accepting a single syringe of Ketamine from the madame, though no one had any requests for who would be sent with the crate, as such, Pettle would get to choose her pick of three, leading there to be an issue of space in the car on the way back.
Packing into the car, with Ryan and Dumitru in the front, B-4 found herself with an Ow0 android in her lap, and two more on either side of her, rendering her speechless from flustering, while Ryan took to driving efficiently, passing lights at just the right time, last moment yet comfortably, taking a momentarily scenic route along the way, and arriving back at The Afterlife without ever even knowing they had been tailed for a brief moment.

back at the club, with the androids from The Lotus putting the crate in the safe room, and after having let go of B, Ara went about checking the cameras again, seeing people who came by just to check if the club was open, leaving disappointed. but among this, was a figure clad in a trenchcoat, lined with neon green, and wearing a mask with lines in the same color obscuring their face. after they looked at the camera, they turned around to reveal on their back, a symbol in the same color as the lining, a downwards arrow with a X bellow. as everyone looked it over, most recognized it as the symbol of the Cult of Deactivation, part of the church of ascension.
at this point, the party decided to call up the info broker again, Dumitru calling him up, and explaining the situation, that there was cult activity going on. after a while, the broker was put on speaker through Ara, and with a check of who was present, the broker explained that he could get them information about the cult, but that such a service would cost. splitting the expense between Ryan and Dumitru (the cost was two commerce points worth, each person paid a value of 1) the broker said to give him a bit of time, and he would call in the favor.
taking the time to relax, Ryan decided to call it that he and Dumitru were even, as Ara had been instrumental in the formation of his gun's “personality” by injecting some of her code into it.

Once the broker called back up, he had a location, explaining it was in Gamma, meaning the group would have to get down in the sewers, and warning them to hide or hold tightly onto any new-tech they had with them.
heading to the closest manhole into Gamma, B found it difficult to at first keep the burger from before in, but managed with some difficulty to do so.
when they got down, both Ara and B deactivate their RGB functionalities, one for her whole body, one for her arm. as the party tried to blend in, leading to… varied results.
Ryan and B blended in very well, knowing this sort of environment, it was not too difficult to not draw attention to themselves. Dumitru and Ara, on the other hand, one a club owner, his job to be a figure of authority, the other dressed in a strippers leotard, and had as a job to be the center of attention. it did not take too long before they walked to a beat only they heard, but knew very well from the club.
despite drawing the eyes of mutants, three of which were from a lady looking akin to the elephant man, with a third, large eye, set on the growth in the head. they made it to the location of the cult, a metal door to what might once have been a storage room for the sewer maintenance, turned into a restaurant of this strange place.
looking among themselves, Ryan would be the first to glimpse in, seeing a room starting with an elevated floor, and a bar railing, next to it a small staircase leading a meter down to a room set with a few tables, one of which hosting a muscular man, one holding two other figures, all dressed in the robes and masks of the cult.
conveying what he had seen, the three who went in to take them down, was Ryan, B-4, and Ara. sneaking in, Ryan slipped along the wall, getting back behind the larger man, while B-4 was able to act as a reference for Ara to manage and not get noticed, as they got behind the railing.
the cultist did not have time to scream, as in a flash, the muscular man found his arm severed at the shoulder, before Ryans katana cut into his neck, getting the breath to leak out from him, while at the other table, one man looked up, only to feel the result of B’s arms opening up, and extending out a blade like a mantis, going through the top of his skull, and out the bottom of the jaw, as Ara got up to the third figure, her tail slipping down his throat, and beginning to vibrate, forcing his body to twitch and spasm till be passed out with a foamed mouth.
with the room cleared, and three coats earned through flesh, blood, and expertise, the group moved to check the next room, while Ara took a moment to search for any devices that could be connected to in the area, finding a weak signal nearby.
the next room revealed to be a kitchen, with a cabinet holding four coats of the cults design. though as they approached a final door in its far end, Ara sought to connect to that signal she had picked up on, however, she got a simple response from the arm to augment she had noticed.
“access, denied.”
soon followed by a beep from inside, and a stern female voice speaking up, asking who was there.
the crew readied their weapons, while inside, the voice continued to ask questions, demanding answers, but getting none.
B hiding behind where the door would open, the rest of the crowd brandished their weapons, Dumitru an armatech assault rifle, Ara dual katanas ejected from her arms, and Ryan, pulled forth Hyper Overdrived Rapid Nun Yippee, or H.O.R.N.Y for short, which caused the voice inside, to be more aggravated, as she asked for their intentions, it was meet by “TO SPLATTER YOUR BRAIN ACROSS THE WALL” from the gun.
as she turned the knob of the door and opened it, it took a bit before she realized her position, being confused by people in her cults clothes brandishing weapons, but when clarified to her that they were indeed not of the cult, but rather, guns for hire, and the owner of a nightclub, she became a bit more cooperative. mocking The Afterlife, calling it a low-grade and trash whorehouse, caused a washout from Ara, narrowly stopped by Ryan, the woman pointed out how she would not mind dying at the hands of an android, but that she yet had more humans to eliminate. She expressed distaste of the idea that her cult would be behind the attack, but that they should talk in the main room rather than in the kitchen, something the party agreed to, heading there, and seeing the bodies, while B slipped into the office.
in the main room, the woman commented on how the dead must have been useless considering they were taken down so easily, and not showing any care about the loss of life. through discussion, she was shown the footage of the drone person, and reacted aggressively, pointing out that it reminded her of a “traitor” and that she may know where that person was. the footage of a cult member at the club caused her to frown, and mentioning that she could gut whoever had shown up there with a “we got bigger fish to fry” attitude.
eventually, she presented the offer to help the party, as it was between her life and giving help to take down someone she saw as a traitor, and considering it would also help “Such a beautiful creation” as Ara, she would offer help. she asked for a couple of days to get reestablished and clean up, being given this, and giving her number to Dumitru and Ryan.
meanwhile, in the office, B had found a hard drive, a screen, and a keyboard. hacking into it, she was able to locate a text file, a list of nightclubs, divided into “Deactivate” and “Cleanse” a file she proceeded to copy over to her phone.
(SMALL RETCON, so, in the session B got called out from her hiding, but I just wanna offer up the chance she got to hide away in the kitchen till the woman returned to her office, and then slip back to the club, she could very well have texted Ryan to inform him of this plan. this means, the woman doesn't know she was even there)
After the deal, the party returns to The Afterlife, to await what's to come.
