Session 16 "Duel of the Gnomes or The Day the Ferret went Beserk" Report

General Summary

....as they face off in the street Salisoria assures Isaac that she is not there to harm him. After assuring him he was safe they sit and she explains what had happened to her and she had been looking for him. Gunthar and Sila adjourn for the night to discuss some matters. Bethel makes last call and the inn begins to clear out. Gashak walks Lillyanna back to Alliance Headquarters. After an awkward conversation Gashak says his goodnights and walks away tripping over a bush along the way. Isaac continues to count pebbles until Bethel tosses his pebbles out and closes the door behind him.   The next morning as the Alliance awakens they hear the door open. Rowan leaps up and moves towards the stairs as Isaac bolts from the basement casting eldritch blast which strikes Gunthar who was attempting to sneak in without waking his fellows. Lillyanna's mother prepares to leave with the queen that morning as Isaac and Lillyanna ask her if she might know anything about the journal they found. She instructs them to find someone with arcane knowledge and sets out to leave.   The party reconvenes at the house where Gunthar is eating some not quite cooked oatmeal. Slinger and Lillyanna slip upstairs and Gunthar sends Rowan to find them. As he leaves Guthar pays Isaac back for blasting him by punching him in the face. After some more shenanigans from Rowan it is agreed that they head towards Hawold to rescue Rosaria, an elven girl from Slingers past held at a brothel by Lord Barrington.   Isaac and Rowan have lunch with the two women from the troupe and Isaac discovers that it is the woman he was previously to be married to. Rowan also learns the the female gnome that she had been in Wheaheath before and she feels that he is familiar to him.   Later that day Isaac and Lillyanna visit the pet menagerie and purchase a raven for her and a ferret for Slinger. When they return home the ferret goes beserk and Slinger is not too fond of the creature. After running up Rowan's trousers he gets it to calm down and agree to a temporary alliance.   After a bit more shopping Rowan and Slinger attend the Blue Mane while Lillyanna trains with Gashak. Lillyanna tells Gashak something profound. Meanwhile Rowan and Slinger speak with the gnome leader of the troupe and her and Rowan have a traditional bardic duel. The contest is close and ends in a tie and the two finish the duet strongly. The night draws quickly to a close Raven's Alliance prepares to leave for Hawold.
