Session 4: The path forward Report

General Summary

After the 2 days of the party settling into their accommodations a new adventurer stumbled through the gates of The Abbey looking for direction. The party subsume this bard named Sylvie before dragging her into a group game of Zone of truth or dare. After shenanigans occur they then rest up and look to head out on the road towards @Vallaki. Unimpeded travel is going well when they reach the first bridge and survey their surroundings. To the north they see a Wagon with a person behind standing by a tower on a bank in the middle of the lake. To the south they see a ruined castle in the woods, and further down a decrepit village in a swamp. They decide to travel to the wagon and the tower. There they meet a vistani by the name of Ezmerlda d'Avenir  who is waiting to find Rudolph Van Richten . She eludes to the door being trapped and rides off hoping to catch Rudolph next time. As the party plan to leave they see some hostile cats which suddenly swarm and attack the party. Sensing the disturbance outside Rudolph opens his door to check for what caused the commotion and quickly ushured the party inside. Inside the party hand over the letter to him and explain what has happened up until this point. Rudolph then elaborates on what he has noticed and his plan which results with the final end of Strahd. He is taken aback slightly that both his and Strahd's plans align. He also does not recognise the magic which the note Pfi holds onto contains. After a bit more talk of the future he sends them off to Vallaki. Just before they reach the gates they look to the right and see a hill of houses and vistani camps. However they press on into the Town of Vallaki where they look to make their way to The Blue Water Inn.
