Session 1: Death of A Duke
General Summary
The group met in the Marsh Malice in Istros.
As the tavern was busy due to it being Foundermast the heroes found themselves bumped onto a table together. Ashmere, Destan, Cillian and Grikx all introduced themselves.
Whilst sat there a blue monk approached their table and offered them a simple job: To steal a black box from Duke Erik Leifson and give him the box in the sheep farm outside the walls of Istros.
Grikx stayed in the tavern keeping an eye of the Duke however was occupied with one of the barmaids and the drink.
Meanwhile Ashmere, Destan and Cillian sneaked into Duke Erik's quarters by distracting a guard with a wand of pyrotechnics. Once inside they found a small Golbin called Spelk who was so intimated by Cillian that he hid away.
The three people looked for the black box but were shocked when a very drunk Duke turned up and interrupted them. Just as they were about to tackle the Duke two mysterious black slime creatures appeared from portals in the ground and the whole room when unnaturally dark. The duke rushed to his box and screamed 'Its not my time yet'
As a fight raged between these two slime creatures and the group. Ashmere felt a dark presence in the room. Whilst trying to escape the presence took the duke and vanished. Only for the duke to reappear dead and crumbled, the flames to ignite again and the door swung open by red cloaks to reveal the scene.
