Session 19: One Last Crowd Report

General Summary

Sunday Night At the hotel Gene scoured the net for references to Leonard and Sanderson, upon which the crew learned that Leonard had a history of going missing and mental illness. Upon this reference, Rogue remembered that the words SPARTA-13 were tattooed across the arm of the logistics expert 'Lake Park Rainman'.   The crew continued to discuss the contents of the data chips, and what the names, words, and number might mean.   After determining that the team doesn't have a suitable plan to infiltrate the Ragetiki Lab, they decided that the Valkyrie girl Tyche would have to fend for herself and they would go visit the nomad market and participate in the funeral of Ricky Modello.     Monday At the nomad market the crew is introduced to Jackie's family and the Storm Rider nomads. The Nomads welcome them into their camp which has been setup with a large pit and pyre at the center of the tents. The group mingles with the nomads as the tribe sets Ricky's belonging out around the pyre so that the other can look through them and take a memento of the rocker boy.   Slade informs Jackie that the Blood Nation has agreed to watch the perimeter of the market for Raffen Shiv so that the Storm Rider's can hold the Reclamation ceremony. Jackie provides a few words over his fallen son, informing the team that his head wasn't strong enough to stop a bullet.   After the ceremony has started and there was a lull in the event, Doug asks Jackie to direct him to the Aldecaldo Family tents so that he can speak with a friend, 'Santos' who is a council woman for the Aldecaldos.   After they arrived at the tents, Santos does come out to meet with Doug, and he refers to her as her real name, Lady Luck Santiago. She escorts them into a nearby meeting tent so that they can speak.   Her and Doug speak briefly about the past before he informs her that the crew has located Malta Santiago, although she is currently not awake. Doug informs her that she is with the crew of the Loyal Judith.   Lady Luck speaks to the group again of the story of the three Santiago Sisters, Milia the Rising Star, Lucia the Evening Star, and Malta the Dusk Star. She isn't sure where Lucia is now, but she knows that she was at one point protected by the Harpers, and provides the crew a location in the Coronado Springs suburb that she believes she may have been hiding. Lady Luck asked a favor of the group for the information, that if they find Lucia, that they bring her back to the Aldelcaldos.   Doug decides to stay with his old friend, while the rest of the crew heads back to the Storm Riders camp to light Ricky's pyre and complete finish the ceremony.    Riley, Jackie, and the rest of the Modello clan light the fire to send Ricky back to the wind, while Gorechylde blasted from all the radios of the Nomad Market. In honor of Ricky, Riley, Jackie, and Hector consumed a hit of Star Shark, and began to party.   As the crew mingled around the fire, they began to hear shots and explosions from the wastes, as members of the Blood Nation hurried into Slade's tent, and a few minutes later left. Walking out of his tent with his gun in hand, Slade warned those around him, "We are under attack!"
