Session 29: The Savage Sicicilian

General Summary

Having made their way back to the Rusty Tumblers hideout, the crew quickly worked to remove the GPS location equipment from the acquired studio 54 vehicles. After some time, the team was able to remove the GPS devices and sleep the rest of the morning.     After waking for the day, the crew made their way for the Slammer, a bar on the upper east side that caters to gangs and runners to meet with the contact that Raela said had information regarding Bruce Skiv.   At the slammer, the team found Raela drinking heavily at the bar and joined her. While they questioned Raela about who the contact was and how she knew them, it quickly became obvious that she she wasn't familiar with the individual.   From the back of the bar the team heard someone yelling for a doctor. The voice continued to get louder and more frantic until Mordin reluctantly stepped forward to offer his help. In the back of the bar was a fighting arena where by the look of a man on the ground, a fight had just finished. His head and chest was beaten and cut open, all of the gang members clearly wearing Maelstrom gear and patches.   Mordin was able to patch up the booster at least long enough for him to get to a ripper doc, while the rest of the team worked to diffuse a few tense Maelstrom members. As the gang members left carrying their friend, they offered Mordin a favor if they ever needed it.   Back at the bar the team met with Bes Isis, a tall chopped up woman with a obsession in asking questions and getting everyone's story. She told them that she came across some information that Bruce Skiv would be having a meeting at the L'etranger Cafe and Bar in the inner city this evening. While the bar was a high security exclusive place, she knew that the entertainment for the evening would be the Savage Sicilian.   Bes reminded the Raela of their agreement that the story of her past and the Modello's encounter with the Skiv mob would be exclusively hers. When asked she told the crew that she had been after the Skiv's for years and knew what they were involved in as she saw the basement of the Falcone building with her own eyes.   When Bes learned who Riley was, she attempted to get her to tell her story, and asked how she felt know that her father had been killed. Riley had no comment.   While only Mordin knew anything about the Savage Sicilians rocker roots, Suds Juliet, the bartender chimed in that the Sicilian's real name was Donovan Bello, a rocker from the 80's and 90's who slid off the grid as he got older and sold out to the corpos.   Bes gave the crew his address at the Tokyo building in little Italy. Before leaving the bar she said that she would be at the show tonight in order to get the best footage.   The Tokyo building stood out for its extravagance and excess among the other building of the little Italy district. The team had no problems getting up to the penthouse sweet were they were greeted by a large bodyguard. After explaining that they were fans of the Sicilians, the guard let them in at the instruction of Donovan. Inside Donovan seemed disappointed when most of them didn't know who he was, but when asked explained that he was dying and couldn't get any more cybernetic work done as he was on the brink of cyber pychosis.   After some brief convincing, Donovan agrees to help the crew get their weapons into the club as well as cause a distraction at the show.   At the L'etranger, the crew quickly found the vip room and grabbed their weapons from the rocker as he prepared to go on.    Gene ran into his old friend Blitz Bitz, a world class gamer and they had a few drinks and began to catch up. Blitz seemed surprised to see Gene and spoke to him about some of the rumors going around the net regarding the 0-1's and how they were making big moves. The net just doesn't feel safe anymore he told Gene.   The crew finally found their mark as Bruce entered the club and immediately went upstairs, stopping only briefly to enter one of the security rooms. He then made his way behind the crew and into one of the back rooms.   As the rocker began his show, the crew made their way upstairs to find Rogue on the second floor above the bar as Donovan riled the crowd into a frenzy before unloading a crate of weapons into the middle of the dancing mob. As things escalated and the dancers began to open fire inside the club, the crew watched as from out of the back room the three security guards that were with Bruce attempted to set up a perimeter around the door.
