Session 34: The Stars Align Report

General Summary

The crew has made their way into the basement of Harper Manor, where they encountered an alive and shooting Lucia Santiago.   In the underground bunker, Lady Luck Santiago comforted Lucia as the crew began to investigate the surroundings. Computer systems were connected to the home camera system allowing anyone in the basement to watch those throughout the house, as well as multiple screens which was displaying the current news channels.   With the help of Riley's DNA, Hackerman was able to access the computer systems and begin looking through the data that was stored on the private sytems.   The team discovered that while Lucia had been in the bunker, Milia's body lay dead inside of a cyro-chamber. After learning that the 'Santiago Cure' for addiction to Synth-coke and other drugs was genetically embedded into the three sisters DNA, Mordin sent a message to Sullivan from the Loyal Judith to get a sample of the DNA from the human popsicle that was Malta.   With all three of the DNA sequences, Mordin was able to recreate the bio-chemical compound that and generate a sample of the 'Santiago Cure' substance.   Speaking with Lucia, the crew learned that Malta was supposed to speak at the Johnny Silverhand concert, and that Miles Harper was working with Johnny to take down the corporations involved.    Speaking with Sly, Doug discovers that there is an emergency board meeting the next day to discuss the ongoing issues with the release of the altered data by the team and Singletary. Trying to determine if he can present the information he knows at the board meeting, Sly informs him that the city center is currently on lockdown due to the riots that have just been cleared off the streets. Doug proposes that presenting the information to the board would cripple Shav and dry up his funding sources.   After finding a large databank of information, Gene reaches out to the Neon Witch on the net. When he approaches the BBS that she is normally found, a new NET icon appears to be in place, a giant light absorbing pyramid. Inside the pyramid, the witch comes to meet with Gene, and he asks her about the location of the Loyal Judith. She informs him that she is no longer aboard the Judith, but that it has gone dark somewhere south of the city, just south of the Javelin and Silverhand concert location.   As the team takes a night to rest and prepares to head for the crater site, they see across the news feeds as what appears to be the entire population of Night City makes their way toward the concert. More people are heading in from outside the city, and even those that they know begin to post to the NET that they are present at the event.   Data found on the internal systems:    

A SET OF FILES UNDER THE ARASAKA FOLDER

* Raw data files that when examined are the original data documents of the Militech board. Review of the information shows that significant alterations were made to the data that was provided to the crew by Singletary. * Raw banking data that once reviewed links the Arasaka and Biotechnica corporations to Glogal Equities and FJTG. * Multiple demolition reports investigating the structural safety and activity of the venue construction at the Crater. The file includes a dozen dosiers of demolition experts including Len Shi. * No data regarding the underground Dr. Ada Laboratory. * An Audio File marked with Tracy Rhodes name. The file also includes information regarding her employment with Arasaka, and her notes regarding Johnny Silverhand's activities. The information details how Silverhand is planning to disrupt Arasaka's ability to deal in the US by proving that they have been misleading the US Government activities regarding the assault on Santiago. She provides a plan to her handler to detonate the nuclear power source and label Johnny an eco-terrorist. * Encrypted messages sent to Tracy from someone with Arasaka indicates that at Shav's direction, she prepare the device to be detonated.   Audio Message in the Tracy Rhodes File: Slaughter House: I want my payment! Womans Voice: You have to body bank the kid first. SH: I told you we're preem! WV: Did you clean it up like I told you? SH: Sliced up the kid good. No one will suspect anyone but the Slaughter House. WV: You left your normal trade? Looks like he got axed? SH: World Bank 63812-14-00001. WV: I ain't sending anything until I have the vid. I need collateral. SH: You want your proof, go out to the combat zone.  

TWO FILES MARKED WITH DR. ADA'S NAME

* An assesment file of the Santiago Cure. The dates of the review are from before the Central American Conflict or the attack on Santiago. His ultimate assesment is that the chemical compound worked. If given the ability to study the raw data he believes that it could lead to break throughs in genetic modification. * A second file shows Dr. Ada speaking at the Advanced Neuroscience Conference. Dr. Ada begins to speak about his Genetically Enhanced Neural Engine. Project G.E.N.E. The system is an entirely organic AI that mimics the human brain. * Attached to the file is a video that shows Gene and another woman somewhere in the NET. Alt shows up and tries to convince the two to help her escape. Alt hits both of them with the Soul Killer. The video then shows the two runners bodies in meat space. Both survived. After a few minutes, the woman gets up to help Gene who is unconsious but not scarred. She carries him out of the lab as the alarm systems start to go off and the video cuts out. Before the screen cuts off the team clearly sees the face of the Neon Witch.     A video from Miles Harper: Latest: "Girls, if you're listening to this, I'm probably dead. Right now they are coming to arrest me. I'm sorry you had to find out like this, but I.." Trails off then cuts off for a moment. Next: "I was wrong, it was someone else. She called me, she already knows. She said she's working for Richard Night! You have to go, get out of the city. Leave the country. These people are untouchable. The only chance I have is to take them all down, but she doesn't know any of you are involved yet. Get out of Night City while you can." Next: "Girls, if you're listening to this, I'm probably dead. Right now they are coming to arrest me. I'm sorry you had to find out like this, but I.." Trails off then cuts off for a moment. Message from Miles to Reilly: Original: A stern faced Miles appears again on screen. "Listen to me, you need to go find your sisters, Riley too. Or, you could be watching this Riley. God I hope not. If you are, you can't mess this up. These corp's are crushing. They take everything you love, even your family, just like they took you." "They're soulless, and untouchable, and unless you can help, I have failed. I was collecting everything I could on the companies finances and projects. I stumbled across the Santiago project which could be used to take all of the fuckers down. I needed cred and reach though, so when Johnny found me, I agreed to his plan." "He found a place to show Night City what's going on just outside the limits. We used their own money to build the damn thing. You have to get this information out though. I didn't have time to prepare it, so just take everything. Get it all to Johnny and out to someone that will be able to find the truth in the numbers. We should have gone earlier, but he thought we needed more proof. He wanted to find Malta first so that we could show the world the formula as proof, but I doubt he will be able to find her."
