Session 3: Rolling in Chips Report
General Summary
Gorechyle, the band made up of Ricky Modello and Mike Pondsmith blow the roof off of the Shangri-La Night Club club. After hacking the stage control systems, Gene assisted in the performance. Looking around the building further, Gene discovered a server system in the basement pool. The server had an outgoing signal, a countdown clock that was linked to the NCPD. The Dalai Slice tasked the crew with retrieving three crates of stolen chips from the Rolling Wreckers, who hangs out in the Lake Park Slums. Learning about the NCPD countdown, the crew makes for a quick exit. Upon leaving the office of the Dalai, they see a badly beaten man being brought into the office by two of the Shredderz enforcers. After exiting the club, the crew notices a heavy police presence which is beginning to descend upon the Shangri-La Night Club, and call to inform the Dalai of the impending raid. The crew was able to discern the home that the Wreckers were hiding in, and quietly approached it. Shortly after Gene jacked in to perform reconnaissance, he yelled in pain as he was being attacked by another net runner. After a brief fire fight, and Gene taking over the gangs automated turret, the crew were able to breach the home. The attack was not without loss however, as Ricky was killed after jumping through a window into the home. After collecting themselves, the team only found two of the three crates, and the last living Wrecker informed them that the two crates were all that they ever had, and that the buyers never showed up to claim them. The Shredderz sent over a recovery team to take the chips and cover up the assault. Kane requested that they take care of Ricky's body and give him a proper send off. As the crew made their way to meet with the Dalai, they could see the smoke from the Shangri-La rising into the sky. The second meeting with the Dalai takes place at a warehouse, where the crew and the Dalai question the kidnapped Rolling Wrecker. The gang member repeats that they only ever had two crates, and the Dalai grants the crew the option to hire Crosswire for 5000eb.
