Session 24 : Taking Care of Family Business

General Summary

After nearly collapsing in the elevator, Hackerman arrived at the top floor, nearly being shot by nomads as the doors opened to Jackie. The group of them made their way back down to the lab and raced to find the rest of the team.   With a deft and fluid motion, Riley ripped the flaming blade from Mordin's leg bringing down upon Loto, failing to rip into his armor, but the flames burned and melted at the armor around his arm. While Riley and Loto continued to battle hand to hand, Doug fired from behind them and Mordin struggled to patch his leg wound.   Jackie and Rogue found the remains of NCPD officer Tyco, who's body lay across a table having been shot in the head. In the back of the room, they noticed an emergency exit door that was currently being blocked by a bench seat. Clearing the path and opening the door, Rogue spotted Singletary, Shav's assistant, and across her face was a bright splash of color which he had placed upon her during a weapons deal. They watched as Singletary and another woman disappeared down a hallway, as they raced off to give chase.   Blades extended from the wrists of the armor that Loto wore as he swiped and sliced at Riley, never being able to make contact. Using the his own blade against him, she snapped one of the blades into two with a quick twist, and dug the curved blade deep into his throat with another.   Seeing the large Tongan slip form his feet and slide down against the hallway wall, Doug raced passed the others in search of Lady Luck Santiago. With rage boiling over, Mordin approached the choking and dying Loto, and with one last kick pushed the blade clean through his neck, almost detaching his head from his body.   Once through the halls, Riley, Mordin, and Gene entered into a high ceiling room with a terminal system in front. Spaced around a large center cylinder stood almost a dozen test subject stations including medical systems, terminal connections and monitoring equipment around a large glass enclosure. Working at the terminal in front of the room was a female scientist and against the wall near the door sat Kane, his hand wildly slapping at the side of his closed helmet.   Around the corner near one of the experimental stations Doug fought and struggled against one of the faceless bioroids. The humanoid was holding Lady Santiago, attempting to force her into one of the subject pods. After two shotgun slugs to the head, the bioroid finally let go, standing motionless next to the station.   Multiple individuals lay, sat, and stumbled around the room looking disoriented. A taller man in a well worn expensive suit, Alix Tantro the fixer from the Loyal Judith, and CO-SIN-09. As Mordin charged into the room, finding the woman scientist, he demanded to know where Izel was being held. Without saying much and continuing to type on the terminal, she pointed toward the back of the room as Mordin rushed off Gene following closely behind.   Working their way through the exit door and into the hallway, Rogue and Jackie discovered that the corner the two women had turned around was a stairwell as the heavy sounds of footsteps rushed up above them. Rogue chased after the women and after finally catching up to them fired his pistol. Just behind him in his pursuit, Jackie placed explosives on the lower level of the stairwell.   After a missed shot, Rogue could hear that the footsteps quieted above him. Turning up another floor of stairs, a nomad woman holding a large rifle began to fire multiple shots as Singletary fired her pistol, just missing the fixer. Rogue able to get off another shot found his mark in the leg of Singletary before Jackie jumped on top of him covering him from the incoming fire.   As the nomad laid down fire, she yelled at Singletary to run. The corporate assistant continued to make her way up the stairs as Jackie and Rogue were able to disarm the nomad and bind her with plasticuffs. Rogue continued his pursuit while Jackie recognized the nomad as the Huntress.   After catching up with Singletary and taking her tackling her to the stairs, Jackie and Rogue gave the women to a couple of the other nomads with instruction to take them up to the street with specific instruction not to fuck it up.   Finally laying his eyes upon Izel, Mordin recognized her immediately, but she was locked into one of the test chambers through medical systems controlling her vitals and a net connection. While the rest of the crew were making their way toward the subject room, an alarm burst out throughout the facility and red lights began to flash.
