Session 26: A Crew, a CO-SIN, and a Santiago Walk into a Bar

General Summary

Having come to an agreement with Rogue and Mordin, Singletary followed Habib and left the street as Metacorp began to pack up and clear out. Having just agreed to trading four of the lab experiments for four of the captured nomads, the crew watched as the individuals were divided up. Mordin knelt down beside the motionless body of Izel, her vitals missing, no signs of life. As the Trauma Team AV landed near by in the street, the loud speaker began barking orders as all of the Metacorp and other crew members moved away slowly.   As the Trauma Team worked to help Izel, Mordin yelled at them with important information they would need to know as he watched her body be scooped up, shoveled into the AV, and sped away to the Night City medical center.   Jackie and Riley rolled up to the scene in the Cerebus as the soldiers were leaving the scene. Riley slipped into the building were the four nomad captives were pulled from to see if there were any others inside. After a few minutes she returned to the vehicle, no one else was found.   Officer Sanderson, GIT.FAKT, Alix Tantro, and Kane all agreed to go with the Metacorp team while the rest of the individuals stayed behind.   The four freed nomads spoke briefly with Jackie and Riley informing them that they were sure where Logan had gone, but that Metacorp showed up shortly after the attack on the lab started and that some of the other nomads were directed away from the street perimeter that they had setup.   While discussing the consequences of the activities that took place in the lab, Lark and Mordin ended up in an altercation over his participation in Izel's treatment causing Lark to storm off from the group. Using the distraction, CO-SIN took off running away from the crew, but was chased down and tackled in the street. As a result, the team realized that CO-SIN had no memory of who the crew were and that he seemed different from the CO-SIN they had known.    After Lady Santiago noted that they team may not want to remain standing over a collapsing reactor, Rogue offered up a great restaurant in Japantown for the crew to visit.   Finding their way to the Sansu Yoon street restaurant, the crew were greeted by a welcoming chef who offered them a table in the alley and Sake as the team decided what they wanted to eat, and what they wanted to do next. As the crew sat down to the meal, CO-SIN introduced himself as Collard.   Doug called Sly to try and determine if Militech had any information on why Singletary would have been at an Arasaka facility, but Sly informed him that something big was going on at the Militech HQ. He was stuck in the city center due to the growing protests outside, and that there were significant numbers of solos and assault groups moving around the building.   While the team was talking, CO-SIN began to talk about working at Studio 54 as well as his new video broadcasting algorithms that he developed. After a few moments, he then began to discuss his time covering the combat zone, the loss of his arm, and the new cybernetic implant that he received. This was followed up by him discussing the new studio that he has setup, as well as his plans to overthrow the media establishment and take over the airwaves. Finally, he began to refer to the crew by their names, speaking like he had before, and talking about how his head hurt. He informed the team that he wasn't sure what had happened to him while in the Arasaka lab just before he passed out, his head falling on the table.   Mordin confirmed that CO-SIN was still alive, while he and Jackie made their way to the Cerebus to grab Raela who was currently in the trunk. After another bit of jabbing at each other, and Jackie informing Mordin that Raela had poisoned him, they agreed to put the bickering aside for now and go enjoy the meal. Raela was able to illuminate some of the activities of the Arasaka lab, including that the implant that were placed into each individual allowed the scientists to not only access all of their memories and neural activity, but were also able to implant feelings, memories, or even control the subjects.   While the team discussed the implications, Raela informed Jackie that she had a proposal for giving him the cure to the poison she had injected him with, and it involved going after Bruce Skiv.
