Session 12: The Inquisition of the Cult
General Summary
The session begins with everyone preparing to storm Cassalanter Villa with The Harpers, a few City Watch guards, Saeth Cromley and Barnibus Blastwind.
Before the Raid
Madam H prepares
- She and Renaer converse about the Vault of the Dragons and what the rest of the party knows.
- It's also decided that as Madam H had faked her death out of fear for her own life, she'll be acting as a medic right outside the Villa.
The Briefing
- Diferent intel is shared regarding the raid, a vauge plan is formed.
- It's decided that half of the raid will go through the main entrance and the other half (the party and friends) will go through the servants entrance.
- Maise also overhears Mirt and Renaer discuss the Vault, how they plan to let the party continue as long as most of the embezeled funds are returned to the city.
- This is relayed to Gaerreak and Kerberos, and they decide that if things go too far south to just cut and run.
The Raid Begins
- Kerberos decides to smash through the wall into the smoking pallor.
- Pretty quickly the party follows.
- Maisie has a personal vendetta against the head chef for some reason (an inflict wounds spell absolutely had nothing to do it)
- Gaerreak and roach fuck some shit up
- A lot of guards die.
- Kerberos breaks an upstairs window while in giant form to give Gaerreak a boost to the upstairs level.
- After some exploration, an invisibility potion and a bit of luck; he runs into Victoro Cassalanter and lies waiting.
- Everyone else eventually makes their way upstairs; Gaerreak manages to stop a servant from running past to check the situation downstairs.
- Victoro charms Gaerreak but before that can do anything, Maisie manages to snap him out of it with a nicely timed slash of her dagger.
- Yeah so Victoro ends up on his ass after Maisie knocks him (and Gaerreak) prone with some water.
