10. The 'Almost' Great Hunt

General Summary

After researching ways to capture big beasts we figure out that we need some Electro-nets, and Neuronic whips
Asking around the markets we are able to find someone selling them and buy 2 of each for a total of 2244 credits
- - 2244 Group credits
J'leen asks Zodu if he can a Site-145 Replica Blaster and finds one for 1837 credits
After bring the gun Zodu says he was asking around about the hunt and says he found someone at a shipping company that says they could fly us to the planet so long as they get a cut
Captain Kobra is her name and Zodu says that he'll tell her we will contact her shortly
As we walk out Janico passes Zodu credits for the extra help and asks is he knows a slicer as well
After some time we get a message from the slicer

After talking with the Slicer we go meet up with Cpt Kobra
We reach the landing station we see she has a BFF-1 bulk freighter called The Barrelman and we can XTS on the side of the cargo they're loading
AC knows that's the Xizor Transport Systems
A Zabrak spots us and intoduces herself as Captain Kobra.
She says she expects us to not lowball her because her ship is specially capable of holding a large dangerous creature. She wants 35% of the prize money
We talk her down saying we'll help her crew while we're on the ship
She agrees to it if she gets 21% of the prize money along with an initial deposit of 5000 credits in advance
- - 5000 group credits
Phaedrus goes around on the trip and gets close with some of the crew and they tell them that the Empire doesn't every pay too much attention to any ships flying under the XTS banner
They also take him to a storage container and show him that it's has 2 StarViper-class attack ships and that they're prepared to defend themselves if they need to
After about week we arrive at Dagobah and the captain tells us they prepared a ship for us to fly down and transport the Scrange back to the Barrelman
During the trip we find out that the Scrange likes warmer climates and can be found more along the equater
As we descend on the plant we pick up a distress beacon from a YT-2400 called The Pork Chop that looks like it's been going on for about 2 weeks
We land near the ship across some water and see 2 people. Once we make our way over to them they tell us they're the crew of the Pork Chop and introduce themselves as Mevlo and Kathirra
We tell them we can get them off Dagobah once we find the scrange we're looking for
Kathirra says she chartered the ship here because she was 'pulled' to the planet for some reason
They tell us that they've explored around excpet for the northeast so that's where we decide to go
From the fog we see a female Trandoshan appear and she says she could smell our fire from miles away. We can she she has a T-21 light repeating blaster
She says that she's looking for the scrange and Mevlo asks if shes found any yet and she says she hadn't
We ask if we can follow her and she says in no uncertain terms that we can't
The hunter walks off south as we head north
We spot something under the water that looks metalic. We pull it out and find a datapad along with some rotted clothes
The datapad looks chewed up, won't turn on and has a Starhunter logo on the back
Phaedrus recognizes that StarHunter is related to a Survey organization that catalogs different planets, and lifeforms
Kathirra is able to pull the harddrive out and put it in her datapad where she find logs about the survey team
Continuing north we find some creatures in a tree. Small winged with long heads and furry bodies and we recognize them as smookas
We decide to avoid them and follow the bank southwest. After stopping we see reptilian creatures, standing on 2 legs, across the river. They're posenaurs and we just go around them south
Hearing rapid fire shots going off in the distance we go in the direction of the blasts and find the Trandoshan sitting next to a very badly injured Scrange
Mevlo asks the Trandoshan for her name and she says it's Chell
We tell her that we're on Dagobah looking for an unknown large and dangerous creature and want her to join us for our hunt
Chell says that even though she loves the hunt she is getting paid and would expect payment
Mavlo asks about the Trandoshan hunting culture to try and entice her to join
Her interest is piqued and we show her the picture
Chell recognizes it as a dragonsnake and that it's 2-3 times the normal size and says it's not worth the trouble if she isn't getting paid
We start to hear a ship approaching and see a lancer class pursuit craft
We decide to part way and head out to find the dragonsnake
As we leave we ask Chell is she has any advice. She gives us her hunting goggles and tells us to look for tracks
Her partner comes out and helps load the scrange onto the ship and they leave wishing us luck
We head back to our ship and fly toward the StarHunter ship
After landing we walk toward to coordinates and find the ship. It's a very beaten up Ainik-class Scientific Survey Vessel
