Session VIII : Slaying of the Dracolich Report

General Summary

Before the party, the Skeletal Dragon of vast intellect questioned the vampire lord Sikvaldil about a stone.  A small conversation later and the party found themselves in a fight against both the Dracolich and his minions, Ghouls and Zombies.   His job finished and his payment in hand, the party thought quickly and offered to pay Shade to help them against the undead.  After a couple rounds of debate he agreed and with his help took down Sikvaldil.   The rest of the battle was a bit harder as the party was down Celdrik Jug and Patrin Jr., neither of which had responded to waking up.  With them out of the fight the party needed to play more defensive but was still out numbered and Jug was bitten; catching Ghoul Fever.  However, thanks to Diogo, the Dracolich was taken down as it could not pass aginst the Golden Ice that Diogo was inflicting.  Falling down it crashed into the cave floor, sending rumblings thru the ground, and broke thru.   The party fell hundreds of feet down the vertical tubes, unsure of how far they had fallen nor what was around as the fall was pitch black.  Landing in a deep undergorund lake, the party found their way to the shore and to each other except for Patrin Jr.  who was lost somewhere in the fall.  With no-one where else to go and no way to return the way they came the party bunked down for what they hoped would be the night.
