Home Again, With Guests 6/20/2023 Report

General Summary

After a feast and much pampering, the group was told to gather their stuff and get ready to be ported to the location that was chosen. The majority vote was Greycot and so they were dropped near there – on Rhys and Savane’s property (which was still pristine, though farms were approaching it. Rhys was able to calculate the length of time that they had been gone by looking at the trees; coming to the conclusion that it had been 102 years! The first thing they did after coming to terms with the news, was to contact Poppy as they had promised to rescue her once they arrived home. They found that though Poppy was overjoyed to hear from them she had settled in and now had a family, so was content to stay on Relune.   Next they tried to contact Rhy’s mom and had the spell “refused” , next Savane contacted her mom which went only a little better as her mother was so surprised and overjoyed that she fainted! A friend (?) who had the spell contacted Savane and let her know that her mom fainted but was OK. After a short conversation in which they learned that the king & Rhy’s mom was dead and that the cult had completely taken over both upper and lower Shulan. Used cribbage set to skry on king Sent to king Got permission to go to kings group, it was several days travel into mts Checked on lake portal before leaving, Iosefka sent a poppet w/ rhys Found portal in city proper instead of lake, iosefka exploded poppet Killed several guards and put hole in wall Traveled near road but not on. Had 3 encounters that were not rp’d They were met by Rhy’s old friend Fenril S'sambra Taken to the hide out, entered by passing through an illusionary wall then through an anti magic area (woha chocobos are not horses!) Family reunion, Rhy’s dad was missing a foot Met with King and introduced Iosefka w/all of his issues :D Casting the exploding spell was discussed and agreed upon (though the king would change his mind later as too many innocents would be effected – plus it was probably enough to get them found out) Had feast, Iosefka cast food and drink in the kitchen, choosing items that would grace a kings table My elemental grew a chestnut tree all the way to having chestnuts Oh they found that Valanar was out with a scouting party
