The Aranea Continued 5/9/2023 Report

General Summary

After a short rest our heroes faced 2 more challenges (both cr 11): The first one consisted of a basilisk, a cyclops, a drider, and a spawn of kyuss (type of undead). The drider actually asked for a quick death when it became apparent there was no hope and begged for the same for it's wife as well. The cyclops was a crowd favorite with lots of cheering etc and was not allowed to die at our heros hands. A huge magical cage came down and gathered the cyclops before the killing blow could be stuck.

After the last foe was dropped the doors opposite the group opened and 5 more combatants bounded into the arena; the next battle began. This time they faced an arcane ooze, a flameskull, a mummy, and 2 yeth hounds. During this battle Savane went down but Iosefka had some healing magic and was able to revive her enough so that she could heal herself and continue.

  After this battle the crowd was pleased enough that they threw flowers into the arena and a baby which Rhys misty stepped to catch so it would not splat... the baby turned out to be a 6 month old dwarf girl!

At this point the group was allowed to exit to the underbelly of the arena and rest for an hour. They were offered massages, light food and some water as well as a place to rest.
