Session #72: Kobolds, Centipedes, and Dragons... Oh My!
General Summary
Taken from the Journal of Keric of Flannae in Exile. My first foray into the area known locally as Brumeglade, has thus produced much more interesting developments than I was prepared for. For many moons I have travelled hearing stories of this “An Adventuring Guild” and their mighty deeds in this backwater part of Verbabonc, but I needed to see for myself. When I arrived I was met by two individuals one Amor Smith, a quite uniquely gifted armor maker and a feisty and angry dwarf named Joe. After some early mistakes in civil conduct by the dwarf, we traveled to a dungeon that previously “apparently” held a dragon that the guild claimed they had slain. A fact I greatly wished to certify myself, we descended into that dungeon to find some Kobalds, to which we dispatched them with haste. After which we did some exploration and found numerous rooms empty of anything valuable as if they had been looted already. Then we happened upon a room that held some nasty large centipedes which we as a group dispatched without Major Incident… the ink looks to be scratched out as if someone tried to scribble out some information only to continue later in fresh new ink After returning to the dungeon we found some gold and many used up traps. After which we did some exploration in the remaining halls of that layer of the dungeon. We found some more stairs that descended to a new level that we found some of the fleeing Kobalds we had dealt with earlier in. As we attempted to pursue them some sharp creatures that appeared to be stalagmites attacked us, and although we were making short work of them nothing had prepared us for the fact that a large black dragon appeared before us. Amor and I seeing the danger ran for our lives instinctively. What became of that angry dwarf we know not, but one can speculate that he is no longer with us. I know not how the dragon did not know of our presence before the Kobalds drew it in but we are now able to formulate a better plan of action knowing what we know now.
