Five Misfits Walk into a bar... Report

General Summary

We begin our adventure in the seedy harbor city of Xandarai. We meet our heroes in the Gaping Maw Tavern, a popular gathering place in the heart of the city.    Kasdeja Tariel Reckoner of Souls enters first, finding her way to a dark corner to write emo poetry and drink coffee in peace. Unfortunately she is soon interrupted by Rill, the tavern's bouncer who has forgotten his bag. Rill and Kasdeja face off over the bag when suddenly, Tai Sen approaches the table and awkwardly sits down, clearly not human but obviously trying to pass himself off as human. Tai Sen settles in as if he belongs and speaks to Kasdeja and Rill as if they too are humans.   As Kasdeja tries to figure out how to reclaim her solitude and Rill wrestles with confusion over the awkward social encounter, Sneak suddenly appears from beneath the table, having been there all along. And before long, Panteleimon wanders over as well.    Before anyone has a chance to figure out how they all ended up at a table together, trouble ensues. A bar fight breaks out between a half-orc tavern regular names Yagra, and a group of ruffians lead by a human with a bald tattooed head.    Sneak rushed into action, pouncing through the gathering crowd to see the tattooed leader struggling to get out from underneath Yagra, while his scimitar wielding buddies are poised to strike Yagra in the back. Sneak slips through striking one of the poised attackers in the heal before they have a chance to swing down on Yagra. He retaliates with a scimitar strike accross Sneak's back. One of the other ruffians manages to get an attack in on Yagra before Kasdeja steps up and blasts the first one causing him to explode and shower gore all over Sneak, the fighters, and some of the spectators as well.    Tai Sen strikes an attacker with a tiny crossbow bolt while Panteleimon rushes forward to heal the cut across Sneak's back. Rill knocks one of the men unconscious and Yagra knocks out the leader. The other two ruffians swiftly flee, carrying their unconscious companions.    After the fight, the tavern proprietor, Fiaxal Flannigan ushers the band of misfits into the back alley where they can all wash up. Fiaxal confided that they are worried about their brother and his friends who did not come home last night. They had been our skipping stones on the bay with their brother, Floon Flannigan, and his friends, Ubaya Uday and Kid Banderwild. Fiaxal had left early but their brother never returned home. Fiaxal tried to find Ubaya and Kid the next morning but both of them were mysteriously missing as well.    On their way to the docks the adventurers encounter a mysterious purple shop: Old Xoblob Shop. It is entirely painted purple and filled with purple trinkets. The owner sells them a few trinkets and tells them that he did observe a party such as they described hanging out on the docks when they were captured by five attackers, one of whom had a tattoo of a winged snake on his neck.    Xoblob refuses to answer anymore questions causing Rill to fly into a rage of confusion. As Rill thrashes around as though to smash the trinkets, the store suddenly vanishes, leaving out team of heroes alone in an alleyway.

Everyone gets 60 experience points for this session.   Sneak purchased a purple glass jar contianing lard with a label that reads, "Griffon Grease"   Tai Sen purchased an empty wine bottle tinted purple with a pretty purple label that reads "The Wizard of Wines Winery, Red Dragon Crush, 331422-W"   Panteleimon purchased a cuddly toy that resembles a four-eyed beholder.
