Burt, Bird and Bugbear investigate missing fishermen

General Summary

The kenku Marcus, the bugbear pirvate investigator (dick) Al Bigby and human elderly bard Burt Bell join forces to investigate some fishermen disappearing around Bilrão. After a quick trip to the docks and some speculation on potential sabotage from other fishers, the party tries for a land route. They follow the trail up north through the cliffs, meets gecko-like lizardfolk basking in the sun, and eventually finds caverns along the shoreline.  

Stalking through the caverns, the party finds cobwebs and eventually hear chanting. In a small cave with a tidepool in the middle, a raving Kuo Toa is underway in sacrificing three bound fishermen to watery rocks. As they engage the fishman, two giant pet spiders emerge for an ambush, and the fight goes less in the party's favour. With Al's sneaky attacks, Burt's bolstering magic and Marcus' small tinkered bipedal drone, the party just barely manages to kill their foes, though at a high cost. One of the fishermen, as well as both Burt and Al succumb to the spiders' stings.    General overview Burt:
