Session VII: Lost in Space Report

General Summary

We learned we are stuck in the Abyss. We managed to escape using planeshift but instead of getting back home we were transported to another location in the Abyss. There we met Rowan, Luna, Damian and Elni who were eating the demon lord that was this dimension. After we assisted we returned to their camp and Rowan explained the structure of the world and the demon king issue.

It is oddly convenient for Asmodeus that this entity arrived just when he changed location of connection point
Could tempest have known of this? He was more concerned with conquering realms- though of hell as a buffer zone
Not easy to track down demons willing to talk - those that hide and runaway hear a lot of things
Undead elf recognises the one demon corpse guy - he a demon lord who can travel freely to mortal realm but never attempted to destroy it. He feasts on sorrow. Which is why he wasn’t considered a threat since he needs others to feed on their misery
Recently there has been order - demon lords are working together which had never happened before
Very rare to see more than 50 vassals under one lord
They fear the lord so they obey command
Demons don’t like anything they only know anger and fear
This current realm is a sleeping demon lord (lords are demons strong enough to create their own realm). There is a sword in the stone we may not pull: it takes lifeforce and awakes demon
Abyss: infinite dimensions - strong enough creatures create their own. Abyssal demons can’t travel over barrier on their own they need a hole to poke through.
Asmodeus connected mortal with hell - as a consequence abyss bypasses hell into mortal
There is a touching point at the hells which is why the fight abyss
Barrier around these realms separates them from abyss

4 elemental realms are somewhat sideways to heavens and hells
Circle around is fey realm with top and down (light and dark)
How do realms interact? Mortal realms orbits in ellips up and down heavens and hells

Planar travel is difficult focusing on general area or person gets you there - it linked to closest thing to tempest aka rowan
