Session 3: The Griffon Part 2 Report

General Summary

The Briar Four found themselves face to face with a griffon that they quickly discovered was not a natural griffon. After stunning and binding the poor creature, a blood sample turned into a massive battle where Cyrilla was dropped from 30 feet in the sky and Mercy was poisoned by the Cat from Uncass, whom now seems to have a connection with the Griffon. After the Griffon was knocked out, Me'lug took it upon himself to decapitate the Griffon and drag the body back to the Abandoned Mansion. The four eggs from the griffon's nest as well as the Griffon's head was brought back to the mansion to be picked apart by the party. As they cut open the body of the Griffon, the unique and intricate synthetic inner workings of the Griffon was revealed. "Blood" was collected by Mercy, the fake heart was given to Cyrilla, and Me'lug wanted to take the metal plating from the beast to forge into armor for all of them. (Finlay, the Doctor, did not get anything (yet)). Since they took all four eggs, the party cracked open one to see if the fetus inside contained a real griffon or a mechanical one like the one that laid before them. It was, in fact, a real griffon. As the party collected their thoughts about armor, a black hooded figured appeared in the doorway of the donkey shed. After studying the party, he angrily said... "What have you done?"

• The griffon that they encountered was a mechanical sort of Griffon that seems to run on electricity of some sort. The bones were made out of steel and stone, the muscle fibers were made out of wood, the veins were made out of vine, and it had large metal plating covering its skeletal structure.
• The griffon had thick, oil and bloodlike liquid as lubrication.
• The metal inside the Griffon is acid immune and a lightweight aluminum.
• The griffon eggs that were recovered are normal griffon eggs.
• A Mucusberry can thicken the oil-blood found in the griffon and possibly make it injectable.
• The Griffon had 54 square feet of metal plating in it.
• The Cat and the Griffon are probably working together.
• Out of the metal sheeting, one Half Plate armor and one shield can be made. Due to the lightweight nature of this unnatural metal, the Half Plate armor can be worn as a Light Armor.
